Back in 2019 I bought a Need4Green EB/PP1 and made some upgrades.
  • Wagner Intercooler (MUST)
  • Unleashed Tuning 93/E30 tune (MUST)
  • Mishimoto oil cooler
  • brake cooking ducts from Home Depot dryer vents
  • Steeda/BMR chassis bits (MUST)
  • Steeda pro-Active suspension (MEH) with progressive springs (1.5"ish drop, too low)

But when used values took off I sold the car (too soon) and got my money back.

Even though I have a '19 GT with it's own slew of mods I figured to get back into the EB space. I really wanted Grabber Yellow but all the cars out there are being offered at Invoice or worse. I don't buy at invoice. And the HPP+HP that I could get for a little over Invoice - the price justification simply doesn't exist. (see thread on HPP and paying $6200 for <$4000 worth of content). I drove a Magneride car again yesterday and even with the chassis fixes it still doesn't impress. (He doesn't have the FP MR upgrade kit...) And while @TeeLew has a solution it's still another $1600(tuner) + $900 (2xGT350R dampers). I might as well buy Ohlins or JRi suspension.

Thought good and hard about Cyber Orange at $1000 below invoice and waiting for production, or squinting really hard into the setting sun and signing for $500 below invoice on this one instead. Maybe it's corneal damage but it looks Orange/Yellow-enough in the right light.

Now a word about the buying experience. Ted Britt has 2 dealerships here in NoVA (Fairfax and Chantilly). They tend to have good stock and discounts have been on the aggressive end when they are being offered. I've bought from Lindsay Wheaton Ford, Sheehy Springfield, and now Ourisman Manassas (used to be called Battlefield).

Ted (Chantilly) had a 100A+HPP in silver which was my 2nd choice after a plain-jane ZERO option 100A. MSRP 34,550 and posted discount of 2000. https://www.tedbrittchantilly.com/new-Chantilly-2021-Ford-Mustang-EcoBoost-1FA6P8TD5M5151854. With their preposterous (but very common in NoVA $800 "processing" fee) the deal pencils out to $300 over Invoice. Not atrocious by any stretch (these days) but for a leftover, not good enough. I asked for a price sheet and they invented a $1599 charge to add to the bottom line. It was itemized as 'accessories'. I jabbed my finger onto that line and said "There isn't 1600 of accessories on that car, there are NO accessories. Please explain". After a moment hem and haw "Oh, that's the freight".

I retorted with "The Freight is not only already included in the MSRP figure at the top of the sheet, it's $1195 on the Window Sticker. Care to try again?" calls the manager over. Manager says "that's freight". I re-iterate my last line.

"So you're lying to my face and trying to cheat me out of 1600? If you're going to cheat at LEAST use the correct numbers, ya?"
"Oh let me take that off and print another copy..."

They weren't interested in moving off their over Invoice price so I played the X-plan card. The total price was actually the same as before but forces the "processing" fee to a fixed $75.

Silver really isn't my thing and chewing on it a bit (paying $6200 for <$4000 of content) and not wanting to reward charlatans and bald-faced liars I told them I had things to do and would return in about 3 hrs which would give their "Lincoln Black" expert detailers a chance to actually clean the car properly, and take the test-drive then.
