Manual ecoboost tips?

This mustang is my first manual, any tips for the ecoboost specifically to help me learn to drive the car?

Turn rev matching, hill assist and all that stuff off, not the safety stuff just the assistant stuff. Then just take your time to get used to it. A lot of it is learning to go off feel, sound and practice.

I have some hills with almost 0 traffic by my home, I did a loop of that area for a few hours including stopping in the hills to get used to hill starts. I bought my first manual on a Saturday and had to be good enough to get to work on Monday. I've been driving manual ever since.

I like all the assistance Ford programmed into my car. Rev match saves wear on the clutch as does hill assist. Rent some beater and learn how to drive a stick if a noob. If anything, rev match will teach you downshift rpms that you will hear and feel so later on you can turn off that option.

And Mustangs have known electrical issues that can make those just randomly stop working. So knowing how to drive without them is VERY handy if they just stop working randomly while driving.

Not going to argue over such minutia as it is overkill at this point. No offense. A Youtube video can teach you how fo drive a stick nowadays.

Leave the assists on until you are comfortable driving and good with 3 peddles then turn them off if you want. Less stress in traffic while learning. Especially at stop light on a hill with some guy up your ass. Rev matching helps lessen drive line shock while down shifting. It will teach how to blip the throttle when down shifting with it off. I don't know if the ecoboosts have no lift shift( that's one my foot and brain have a problem with) you wont need that for a awhile. Mostly just get some seat time and you'll be pro in no time.

Remember when coming to a stop engage the clutch to keep from stalling and making a terrible sound . Especially in front of a crowd at a cruise in ,it was really embarrassing

Manual Ecoboost is pure joy to drive! Was the second S550 vert I drove after 2015 GT vert and so much better for my taste.

Sue neutral at stop lights and don't slip clutch much this car has lots low end torque easy to drive.

It has more than enough power to step out getting you in trouble always have stability control on normal. These cars will snap out hitting poles, cars and curbs instantly if not prudent.

Highly recommend Garrett Intercooler.

Wait what year did ecoboost get rev match ? As fair as i know my 2020 HPP doesn’t have it.
