MagneRide Code Removal

I have a 2018 that has MagneRide that I am getting rid of due to getting a deal of a lifetime on an AirLift system. With removing the struts and disconnecting the sensors, I get the “Suspension Failure - Speeds Limited to 80 MPH” code as expected. I was wondering if FORScan had anything that could disable that or if anyone had some tips or experience in this process.

On my CTSv system all you have to do is wire in a resistor between the two leads on each shock. I wondeer if something like that would work on the Mustang's system. So jump over to a gen two CTS-v site and ask them what resistor they use and try it our. cant hurt and it it works it would save you a few bucks to put towards more mods

What @AutoXer73 said... but I would NEVER remove the magnaride on these cars. The magnaride is a tried and true solution for comfort, track racing, and drag racing. It is single handedly the BEST option you can get on a Mustang.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't the Magneride limit your choices for things like spring rate, amount lowered, and possibly sta-bar stiffness?

While I can agree that MR is likely the best overall option for most people (who wouldn't take their mod program all that far), it won't be able to cope with air ride (like what OP is apparently doing) or a more serious level of preparation for autocross/road course/dragstrip.

Though there is also the DSC controller, that may widen the applicability of MR.

Magneride is programmable with the controller. It makes a WORLD of difference.. Before/after fine tuning in a GT500 was incredible. Magneride is definitely superior to bags for actual track racing.. But yes, would be inferior to a remote mount canister coilover setup for all-out tracking.. But in that case I wouldn't start with a PP1 + magna or PP2 >
