Apparently, this type of emblem/sticker is hard to pull without a razor blade. I got a few to test with. I have some small pieces of PPF that I'm going to put on the back side of a single edge razor blade to see if the protects the paint underneath. I got a couple the decals to test with.

Of course, wondering if these will pull the paint...arg. Sometimes, leaving things alone is best...
Why would you even attempt this with a metal razor blade? Is it really worth the chance of damaging your paint?

Might I suggest bringing your car to a detailer who does PPF and/or car wraps. If worth a few bucks to have a pro do it.

But if you insist, please buy some of these.

Thanks...I have some of those. They won't get under the end, either. And yes...more than concerned about a single edge near the paint.

I do plan to ask my PPF when he gets back to me about doing the car. Texted him yesterday.

In the end...I may just leave it on...but we'll see...

Congrats, beautiful car!

I ordered one in... January? I finally cancelled the order and just bought one off the lot, which of course, had the stupid dealer logo on it. Goof-off or Tarminator works well to dissolve the glue.

Just a word of caution...be careful with Goof-Off. It can soften varnishes and coatings. I'd try Goo-Gone which is orange peel based.

Don't goof-up and get Goof-Off...get Goo-Gone as that's what you want..the Goo gone!

Thanks guys...the problem is getting behind it. I'm testing with a couple of the decals I placed on other items. These are very thin and appear to be metal.

Here’s the sticker. It sits so close to the body that I can’t even get floss behind it. I’m wondering if it’s a thin foil or metal.
that should be illegal. holy crap if the dealer i used had put that ugly pos on my car i would have sued them.

IDK why dealers think they have a right to adorn customer cars with semi-permanent advertising. If I had a Mustang with 'Winner' on it I'd be mildly worried about getting keyed.

Sounds like it's stubborn so there's a good chance that despite the greatest of care you could end up damaging the paint. Maybe ask the dealer how to remove it safely - I bet they know how - or just ask them to do it.

Well guys, I got it off. Didn’t damage the car at all. As you can see in the picture I put masking tape on either side of a razor blade and that was enough distance to keep it off the paint but the pop the logo off.

I tested with a "run razor", but wasn't comfortable with that. I tried any number of things, but this worked and not a mark on the car.

Congrats on the car! I haven’t seen stickers put on the back of cars since the early 90s. That’s why they switched to license plate brackets. When I was buying new cars back then the first thing I told them after placing the order was I don’t want to see anything on the car and never had an issue.
Brett, don't buy one here in the Coachella Valley. The two dealerships are owned by the same family and they will slap one on no matter what you say.

Beautiful car. I can’t believe that you responded with the same car as me. I love the pony on the side. I was thinking of doing a coyote myself but have been scared. Also, I love the louvers on the back window as well as the clear tail lights. Can you tell me which ones both of those are. We need to hit up at a place to get together.

The back window louvres are MP Concepts. They were the only one I could find that were in gloss black. With the stripes and the side window louvres I had to have gloss.. The tail-lights are Vland and they were the kind that you had to run a wire from them to the 3rd brake light. I've been seeing posts on here from guys that there is a new set that is completely plug and play. Think they're cheaper too.
Past couple of months the car has been in a shop almost more than I've had it. In the beginning of April I took it to Papini's Garage in Temecula for them to install the Roush 2 kit. What was supposed to take a week ended up being almost a month. There was a defect in the kit (loose nut and washer in the heat exchanger) that blew the engine up. The brothers got with Roush and Ford and made them give them a new long-block. The long-block had a defect too. When they did the tune and started it up the timing went and the cams were ate. Now on the 3rd try, given the amount of time between the 2nd and 3rd, I believe they got a crate engine with the SC already installed. They didn't say that but there was only 18 hours from the time they blew the 2nd and they called and said it was done. Like they say 3rd times the charm. To cap it all off the Papini brothers wouldn't take a dime from me. They were going to go after Roush and Ford for the money because they had been given defective parts.
So if you know anybody that wants some serious mod work done let them know about Papini's Garage in Temecula. They're the good guys.
Last thing then I'll shut up. I've never had a license vanity plate but I'm thinking about getting one...

Take it back to the dealer and tell him to remove it.
That's the last thing I'd do, do you really want the underpaid kid who swirls up your paint during new car prep scraping that off?
