Looking for opinions on Mach 1 wheel and tyre options to replace the 5 spoke factory rims.
The table below might help anyone looking at upgrading the standard Mach 1 wheels.
There are a couple of suggested options in the table below in 19 and a 20 inch sizing's.

The Mach 1's that have arrived at dealerships also appear to have a wheel to guard gap that some owners may want to minimize by either lowering the car or installing a set of 20 inch rims and tyres.
By going with 20 inch rims the factory springs can be retained and the tyre/guard gap would be closed up considerably.

The other option is a 19 inch wheel upgrade that would see the tyre/guard gap increase marginally.

Id be reluctant to change the springs out, given the work Ford have done on suspension tuning with the Mach 1, so this leaves the 20 inch wheel upgrade as the preferred option.

Id be keen to hear opinions from anyone considering a wheel upgrade to either a 20 inch wheel, whilst retaining factory springs or a 19 inch wheel upgrade and installing lowered springs.

If you’re going to “upgrade”, go for a square setup

you must be joking. It's the same stuff that was on the PP2 and GT350. Quit obsessing over "wheel gap" and drive the damn thing. Or throw a 50lb bag of play box sand on top of the engine and another in the trunk. There are already a billion post on wheels, fitment, and even 'aggresive' looks. The Mach is identical to every other GT.

Here are some pics of one at a dealer with the $395 wheel upgrade for cars without the handling package, it's the same style as the PP2 wheels but not the same width or offset.

Thanks, the $395 wheel upgrade option is the same sizing's as the standard 5 spoke wheel/tyre, same gap to guard but visually a much better wheel to look at IMO.

Sadly, the $395 option is also not available on the Australian version of the Mach 1.

Yeah, the surcharge in Europe is crazy. At that money they should give both sets of wheels. Nonetheless, the (only in the country) blue car I chose already had these specced in order and they do look lot better.

I've ordered the upgrade but they are £900 option here in the UK, $395 is a comparative bargain...
It's a shame you can't get them in Australia - I can't think why they wouldn't be offered.

In my opinion they look far better than the base wheels but I'd have been happier with a slightly wider rear wheel, the standard 275 rear tyres seem a bit narrow to me.

I have heard that anything below 11.5" is small.................
