Mach 1 Mufflers on Premium GT

If anyone was debating on doing the Mach 1 (or the GT500 w/ 5” tips) mufflers for the 4.5” tips..DO IT! Got lucky and picked these up for $350 (Ford Performance wanted $1700 for this exact setup)

You can fit it on a stock 18+ diffuser if you shave off some clearance above the tips or it’ll cook the plastic..however just go the safe route with the Mach 1/GT500 diffuser from MP/EOS/eBay

Super happy with the look on my GT, for an OEM+ setup it’s super aggressive:

Supposedly the perforated tips create a higher pitch in WOT, haven’t been able to test that out since it’s been nonstop raining in SoFlo and I’m still on these tiny 18s so can’t risk beating it on wet roads LOL

Nice! I’ve had the Ford Active Exhaust Upgrade Kit on order for several weeks from my dealer but it seems to be on back order as I wanted to do exactly what you did. Looks great!

I ended up buying the whole kit (mufflers, underbody valence, diffuser) and it is certainly a nice upgrade over the stock GT mufflers. I noticed a slight change in tone from the exhaust, but nothing major.

Thank you! Yeah I saw a lot were on back order so I dug deep into FB marketplace and eBay and got lucky with this used set. Hopefully you get yours soon!

Honestly bought them more for the look than sounding louder so I was happy with the swap cause my HOA would have a storm on me if I got anything aftermarket since I’m going catless headers next month LOL

Thanks! Right now I have the Corsa double X pipe and I’m hoping to get catless headers on in the next month-ish
