Mach 1 build date confirmed..

Hello,
I registered here after reading many articles and learning so much
from this group… thank you.
I placed an order for a
fighter jet grey, 6spd, on 1/11 and today I received an email from
Ford stating the build date was 4/4/22.
The car will have everything but the handling package.
I was second guessing the color after I placed the order because most of my
vehicles have been black.
This not so grey JFG will be a little different but I went with my gut on it.
Anyway, I’m super glad this forum is here and thanks for the great content.

Received an email from Ford today. The build date was pushed up a week it’s now 3/28/22.

I believe you meant Cactus Gray, right? Unfortunately, the focus groups complained that the Cactus Gray did not project enough masculinity (non negotiable attribute of true Mustang), so the new name was invented, with much better projection, unfortunately the manufacturing codes were already in place. .

I could have sworn someone did a side-by-side comparison from Bronco to FJG Mustang and there is a VERY slight difference. Like almost laughable why they didn't just use the same color still looks great on the car though!

Agreed, My 03 Mach was black, constant work. Beautiful when clean, all 5 minutes. That's why I ordered silver for my Mach.

Maybe it’s a trick being played on the eyes because of the accent colors. They use the same paint code. I have noticed that seeing broncos and rangers in cactus they look more greenish than my car.

I do not know, if the base coat or the clear coat could change the perception so much that people start differentiate them, or if it is possible that the tint variation is simply noticeable, but my FJG is clearly registered as "Cactus Gray". Not that it bothers me in any way, I just find it funny

Huh, yeah digging a little deeper I guess it actually it is! My bad for spreading false info. The orange stripe definitely warmed the color up IMO and makes it stand out a lot from the Bronco. Either way I don’t think its a bad thing And looks great man

lets see some more grabber blue photos please. i've said before on here i'm so happy i got a 2021 and didn't have to decide between grabber blue and FJG. its possibly my favorite mustang color ever! but we have a severe lack of pictures of mach 1's and i know theres been at least a couple delivered!
