I get idiots like that in my ST all the time was hoping that would stop in a Mustang unfortunately it looks like it won't change.

By the way OP I really want to get a camera setup much like what you have used in you're Mustang when I get mine.

What camera did you use? Did you hardwire it to the car? and how difficult was it to setup?

Cheers

Golf R, it would probably beat you. 0-60 is around 4.8secs but it's much lighter than the mustang

Thinkware F750 2Channel hardwired, few of us have them. Easy enough to fit, just need a couple of fuse taps & spare fuses.

4.9 plus it has nowhere near the power of the Mustang. Frankly if the Mustang loses to a Golf it should hang its head in shame

Big_G is correct, a Thinkware 750 front & back. Currently it is in the 12v cause I am awaiting delivery of a couple of fuse taps from ebay (up to 1st August! Usual ridiculous delivery times that I didn't check on ordering).
It is necessary cause the cigarette sockets in the Mustang are permanently live which means that the camera carries on recording for 6 hours after use. Pain in the arse. Can't fault the camera though..... just my local crappy roads which makes it think I'm having a crash every few hundred yards

You did the right thing...don't rise to it.... I know of 3 guys that got involved in a bit of a showing off session with another car..... 3 guys that are no longer with us:(.... A mother lost her son his friend and her husband, n the blink of an eye:(:(

It just ain't worth it....

True - aint worth it...plus if your in a Mustang, you have already won :ford: thats the way I see it. Couldn't care less if a piece of crap boy racer in his 15 year old corsa beats me - I know which car I would rather have!

Things like the Golf R, Audi S3, A45 AMG will all absolutely walk a V8 0-60 (especially the manual).... combo of lighter weight, AWD and PDK style boxes.

However, once above about 50mph the ultimate power advantage of the Mustang will come in to play.

I had a good 'play' with an A45 AMG on the motorway a while back.... above 50mph my car was slightly faster in every gear, although there wasnt much in it. A remapped A45 would kill it.... but then again I still know which car id rather be in :)

+1... and I think the distinction between one being a 'hot hatch' and the other a 'muscle car' says it all.

I think it all comes down to the fact, that we know full well, most of these chav racers/English Ricers/Peasant Wagons/Halfords specials etc. Would lose, they'll pretend to have a race in their head thinking they're the muts nuts and then will boast 'Theyre scared'

Not realising full well, that we'd smash the living sh1t out of them given a chance.

I could have a race in my own mind with Usain Bolt, don't make me faster if he's clueless about that race does it!

This is off topic, but I just realized that as I read posts made by you fellows in the UK, I have the voice of Eric Idle in my head as your voices. LOL. And for some oddball reason the women all sound like John Cleese.
