Lund tune bugging me

Get wengerd. Hes a wizard at centri coyotes. For pump gas, he has it nailed down to a science to the point where my setup only took a base tune and 2 revisions to be absolutely perfect, been running for over a year now and my tunes been flawless

he knows exactly whats safe, how much he can push it to squeeze out everything without any real risk of problems.

his customer service is also amazing, when i went for an inspection i needed the catless codes turned back on, i emailed him on a sunday afternoon and got a revision within an hour, if that doesnt say customer service is #1, i dont know what can

Lunds customer service has been shit
They have a high ego when it comes to their tunes, unless you are a high profile customer, they refuse to even double check what they load into your tunes

i had an ecoboost tune from them, it was 5% better than cobbs off the shelf, and they loaded me up with a pp car tune when i wasnt pp, then took me 3 emails to get them to fix that issue alone

Epa should be disbanded, my catless car is definitely the reason global warming exists, not the trucks spewing black smoke daily, factories doing the same, diesel mining rigs in third world countries, hell even usa cows produce more harm to the envirenment thru methane farts than i do

I know some cars run great from lund. Unfortunately im a nobody so they dont give a rats ass about me. Imo just too big a company stems their customer service issues

Since going FI and remote lund tune I've never really been satisfied with the quality of the map.
It works ok but being a bit of a perfectionist, not well enough I feel.

I have this occasional engine lurch/stumble when tipping in to light throttle, happens maybe 3-4 times in a week.

The idle is high for my liking and when I queried this the revision was awful, had to accept the higher idle and revert back to previous as things were getting heated in the emails. Not the best service I've received.

I feel it's over rich despite Lund saying it isn't. I have black exhaust and lots of black carbon spots on the rear bumper. It stinks of unburnt fuel from behind when given a wot blast and you can see the haze in the mirror.

On a track day, the haze is annoying and embarrassing.

Doesn't use oil or breath so it's not that, just heaps of fuel.

I've smoothed out the Maf signal by smoothing out the pipe transitions and increasing the taper on the reducer that sits before the blow through Maf and made an air straightener that sits before the Maf. Maf signal looks more stable than the stock Paxton setup and Lund calibrated the Maf after. Made no difference to drivability though unless looking at the log.

If I unplug the Maf the car runs like absolute shit so the tune is heavily reliant on the Maf signal and I think that a bit crap. If the Maf died, it runs so rough I wouldn't be able to drive it home.

I've heard good things about Wengerd, what does everyone think about trying someone else?

im a nobody. They always reply within the same day or before 9 next day. And I’ve dealt with basically everyone that’s there besides Dakota I think.

Well i guess we have had a different experience with them. Either way, i will say lund is worth a try for new people, but for me, theyre totally written off my list and i will never tune with them again

Sounds like they got tired of you nitpicking and dealing with your monkeyed up MAF setup

I switched from Lund to Wengerd and have hit the same 60-130 but with an extra 2000ft DA, have more *consistency* from run to run (this is a big deal, imagine going from 6.0 to 6.8 just minutes apart...), and the drivability is far superior.

My main reason for switching was surging and bucking in part throttle. It never felt like I had good control over the pedal. With Wengerd's tune, it feels like I'm driving any other car if you get what I mean. The pedal feels intuitive and predictable.

All of that to say, it's not that my Lund tune was slow or didn't perform well at WOT. My lambdas looked fine, similar to Wengerd's I believe (0.75-0.8 if I recall correctly). But Wengerd's is better both part throttle and wide open.
