Hello, damaged the lug nut. I need to get replacement. Please help with part number and location to buy.
I called 2 vendors and they were not sure if lug nuts were same as regular mustang. I used 21mm socket, should I be using 22mm.
Thanks

If a person uses a 7/8" socket from the start, it could accelerate rounding the corners off since the fit is a slightly loose. Go buy a 22 mm and have it in the tool box. Use the 7/8" as a last resort, as he instructed.

As far as Gorilla lugs, the ones I have are made correctly for the stock wheels. When going with aftermarket lugs, make sure it has the proper seat. Some aftermarket lugs have a narrow surface area on the seat, which applies torque across a smaller area. Not good, unless it's required by an aftermarket wheel.

Never used anything but a 13/16". It fits perfect, doesn't stick, no damage. I didn't know you were supposed to use anything else. I have never heard from anyone using a 13/16" mangle one either.

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.
Totally concur that if you can get a 13/16" to fit that is what you should be using. I was not able to get the 13/16" to fit my lugs at all.

@honeybadger, I liked the open end lug nuts but the reason I didn't buy those were because of the idea that they may potentially rust. I understand "steel" does not typically rust but just didn't want to take the chance of the exposed lug bolts which I wasn't exactly sure how they were made. Maybe Steel but couldn't find any information. Regardless, I've already went with the Gorilla nuts and I'm just relieved the issue went away. Torque at 150LBs was a complete nightmare each time I worked on the wheels. x 20 times while on the OEM lug nuts. What a relief.

@OP just purchase anything but the OEM McGards.

The OEM lug nuts are 21mm and a 13/16 will fit. Don't use an impact wrench or the stainless steel cover will stretch and they won't fit into the wrench any more.

For whatever reason that I can't explain, it seems we've all had different experiences every time this topic comes up. I will tell you without a doubt that at my house, 13/16 fits far better than a 21mm, enough so that I've always thought 21mm was the wrong size (when compared to the 13/16).

Haha. I just grabbed the newest 21mm I have to go test, because I was almost certain I had been using a 21mm.

21mm definitely works on my car.

Glad we could help, I would have suggested the 20 dollar more for just 5 separate lock nuts but that's fine. I'm glad you're at least free from the OEM lug nuts that will create headaches later on.

Ya my oem lugs all went to shit after like 3 or four tire removals. Got some black non locking gorillas for like $45 and problem solved.

It’s a shame ford uses these cheap ass lugs on the gt350 series which is obviously going to have lots of lug use and 150 ft lbs lol
