Got a question on my PP2 Wheels.

For some reason the rear wheel locks stick out further than the front locks.
Is there a wheel lug opening on the wheel just for the lug lock to be recessed?

PP2 wheels are of slightly different width front vs rear, and may have other differences as well. Have you checked the 'regular' lug nuts for flushness/recessed amount to see if a similar front to rear difference exists for those as well?

There probably isn't anything you can safely do about it.

I have project 6gr wheels and my front lugs are more flush with the wheel itself. My rear lugs stick out much further I personally think it looks more aggressive with the rear lugs sticking out.

I just have the regular 18" wheels and, as you'd expect, they are the same front and back.
I hate the lock lug that Ford supplies. It's long ang looks really badly out of place.
I ended up replacing all the lugs with these. Now if someone wants to steal them they have to defeat all 20 instead of just 4.

I did take off the wheels to clean the backside of them. But just wondering if the key lugs had a special lug hole that it would sit deeper.

Not possible. If so, then one of the regular lug nuts would sit deeper. The Ford provided locks are terrible. Not only do they stick out quit a bit, they're chrome vs the stainless capped lug nuts. I have to get a complete set to replace the oe that look decent.

Being that the front lock nuts are even with the other 4, is it because of the offset in the rear they stick out more? If that's the case wouldn't all lugs be protruding?

Oh crap. Forgot to finish! I've got the same "distressed flag" sticker on my back window as you got for a pic.

Just get rid of the wheel locks, they're next to useless against a wheel thief.

A wheel thief will have a reverse spline socket in their arsenel which will rip that thing off just as fast as a regular lugnut.
