I bought my 18 used and the covers were missing. I bought a set and installed them exactly once. They've sat in the garage since. If I had it to do again I'd put that money towards a SmartTop unit. It's far more useful.

The SmartTop is definitely a nice addition to these cars.

Mine came with the car. I generally drop the top when I am already out and about. Might actually keep them in the car if there was a storage slot for them. As it is, they stay clean and scratch free sitting in the garage rather than rolling around in the trunk.

I have never used mine. Mine are rolling around in the trunk.
I roll up in an old towel. Keeps them in good shape and they stay put in the trunk. Reside in basement in winter months.

Picked up my 2022 last Friday. Ford apparently no longer provides the tonneau covers. I 'll wait & see if I want to buy some as I rarely used the cover on my previous 2013 GT vert.

I put my caps in the trunk cargo net.

Don't bother. There's two types of caps, the 'gen 1' which caused the roof damage if used and a lightly modified 'gen 2' version which Ford released and were available on an exchange basis at the dealer. Gen 2's still rubbed and is probably the reason why they stopped supplying them.

I've got a thread on this forum about it and it covers the two types of caps, it's worth a read. If you end up using them and you damage your roof it's a nightmare to fix, dealers aren't properly trained in replacing them so it's big task to get the roof back to factory standard and they're really expensive to replace.

I bought my 2016 in February. The caps were in the trunk, so I started using them. After about a month of using them, I noticed damage to both side of the top, so I stopped using them. The damage is very minor, however I'm worried that with prolonged use it would get worse.

Used mine just once, on the delivery drive home from the dealer. They have lived in the trunk ever since - although I put the top up almost every time the car is parked.
