2015 Mustang GT premium, got the low tire pressure light and message, not replacing sensors since i just recently had rims off for new tires. Anyone knows of a way to disable the lights / system? Thank you.

Hi poneyexp, there may be a way to do that in one of the modules, but highly not recommended
The sensors are there for a good reason and could save you problem going down the road (literally) it's very likely you have one with a weak or dead battery, a competent tire shop can help you with this.

Yeah, as inconvenient as it may be, just have the sensors replaced. I'd do all 4. Costco automotive changed all four of the sensors in my Edge a few months ago for around $220 total.
I have had 3 specific instances where the TPMS warning light has given me enough of a heads-up to get out of traffic and safely off the road before the tire was completely flat. It's a very useful system I don't want to be without.

I don't have sensors on my aftermarket wheels so the light has been on constantly for ....5 years now. Same with the airbag light due to racing seat.
With your eyes on the road while driving, you don't even see the dash lights. Problem solved 🤷‍♂️

The TPMS stuff can be modified with FORSCAN. Don’t ask me for the specifics since it’s been a while, but I’m certain it can be modified with FORSCAN. I make changes to the minimum tire pressure when I put my drag radials on so it doesn’t show the light since the tires are at like 20psi. Also, a quick Google search shows various posts across Ford forums where people have disabled TPMS with FORSCAN. Just have to find the specifics for this platform.

I read somewhere that the batteries in the sensors could be changed. Anyone know if that is true?

For the most part, that is not true. The batteries are encased in a compound meant to protect them
Usually the entire sensor is replaced with battery

There are rebuild kits for TPMS sensors that can be used for many TPMS sensors. You also don't have to dismount the tire to change the sensors all you have to do is break the bead from the rim and you can compress the tire bead and change out the sensors with new ones. That will keep you from having to pay for another tire balance.
