Lost on tire sizes.........

So I ordered and recieved my Mach 1 without the handling package as I did not want it. But I do want the bigger tires that come with the H/P, however I prefer my wheels. So after reading lots of threads I still cannot find my answer so here goes: What are the largest size tires that can be installed on the non H/P original rims?

So I think your saying I can go 275/35 R19 in the front and 295/35 R19 in the rear, Correct? That would be great. Thanks

you have to install ONLY those tire size and brands that Ford certified the car with. Anything else will compromise your handling and cause you to lose to a hopped Civic in a drag. You need to also source the air in-around the assembly plant in order to maintain your warranty.

Yes, those sizes have minimal diameter error and fit stock wheels and there shouldn't be any problems regarding rubbing against something, Mach 1 should be prepared for wide tyres (just like PP2). Hopefully, I can't verify that myself, yet.

Mach 1 isn’t technically a Ford performance vehicle so it just gets standard air in the tires

275/35-19 and 295/35-19 will work on the base Mach 1 wheels, but there will be a bit more sidewall bulge (around 0.2" - 0.3" more on each sidewall). Do you currently have more than that much clearance on the inside to things like the struts? Cornering may feel a bit 'softer', though I suspect that probably won't matter to you (else you'd have sprung for the H/P in the first place).
