OP, look at tire rack. They will give you contact with for the tires you are looking for. For best handling performance, you want a tire as wide, or slightly (like a tenth of an inch or two) narrower than your rim. And a 275 isn't uniform across all brands.

When one sticks a big fat wide tire on a narrow rim, the handling suffers, bigly. I know first hand.
^^This is the way, OP. Most of the major brands are pretty close, unless you get a model specific tire (Michelin PS4S in 295/35r19 has a narrower tread width for the Mercedes spec than the Conti ECS02 general spec as an example).

I have a 22 Mach 1 and I need help with tire sizing on this thing.

The OEM tire size was 255/40 front on 9.5in Rims and 275/40 on 10in in the rear. Handling was great my only issue was I bought this as a daily. The original Michelin Pilot Sport 4S was bad in the cold weather. In normal weather conditions I experienced a lot of tramlining and in extreme conditions I've had the rear end hop a bit.

I liked the HP wheel so I moved to the current setup so that I could fit them:
Michelin Sport All Season 4
275/35 10.5in Front
325/30 11in Rear

I bought these tires from a user here so I am not really sure what the rational was with the tire selection. I think the different aspect ratios was to maintain the same rolling diameter across all 4 tires. I just knew I wanted all seasons and a wider rear (for cosmetic reasons mostly). Handling seems improved, car does feel a tad bit more "heavy/slower". No more tramlining, but I feel like when I brake hard the rear end sways to one side versus straight on. I need to investigate this further.

The primary issue I have an issue with this setup is that the front tires, the rims are not protected by the tires. It's like at 275 the front tires are not wide enough. This cant be the case, is everyone running HP rims like this? I'm thinking its the design of the all seasons, allegedly there is no built in "rim protection". So I need advice on how to fix this. Based on the wheel width and tire width of the rear, it suggests I need 305s up front which sounds ridiculous. Need advice on how to make this look like the tires actually fit lol. Also I don't drive this car on a track but I would like the best handling setup on this without it being too wide. At these widths the dirt is starting to kickup past the fenders, I have not installed any mudflaps yet. There's PPF so I am not too worried. Thanks to anyone who helps me with this.

On a 10.5 front a 295/30 or 305/30 fits best. With the proper sized tire you will get that rim protection lip like you mentioned. The front 275 is definitely a little too small.

I had 285 DSW06's on the Mach 1 HP wheels and it looked while it worked just fine, it appeared too stretched for my taste. I would definitely recommend going wider, but as mentioned it'll be really tough to find an all season any wider.
I also had 285 DWS06’s but moved up to 20’s to run 305’s. I intended on going with DWS06’s again but I got a great deal on the falken azenis FK460 A/S( 900 for 4 305/30/20) and they’re very comparable to the DWS so far

@Skye Beautiful Mach 1. Sometimes I wish I didn't get all black lol. 285 Looks great here, looks more than 10mm to be honest. At 285 Ill sacrifice tire protection, and at least least it be flush with the rim.

There’s basically no 305 all season options for 19 inch wheel. I had to go 20’s for that
As suggested looking beyond Michelin, yeah it looks like nothing exists over 285. Fair enough at those sizes it's for track purposes and that wide is bad for snow. Will probably just run like this or sell the 275s. Anyone interested can DM me, plenty of thread left. less than 2k miles on them.

If it’s for snow and depending how much snow, I would recommend a dedicated winter tire. I have all seasons because the chance of driving my car in the snow are next to none and I wanted to be able to drive when it’s cold and dry.

Agreed, any chance of driving in the snow or slush, I'd get second set of narrower wheels with Three-peak winter tyres. I actually did exactly that even though I avoid those conditions, but you never know.

Embrace the snow and slush! It makes a mess but it’s a whole lot of fun these cars 😁

https://tiresize.com/comparison/

Using the chart above as an initial reference, a 295 and 305 would be used for a 10.5" and 11" rim.

Michelin A/S 4s jump from 285 to a 325, in a 19"rim. There's nothing in-between.

Continental makes an A/S tire which is very popular. Unfortunately, they do not offer a 295 or 305 in a 19. https://continentaltire.com/tires/extremecontact-dws06-plus/specs

Enclosed is my example, which does involve new tires and rims (new sizes and different style). I realize this might not work for you. If anything, the accompanying photos show how the following rim/tire and offset look with the car profile.

285/35/19 Michelin A/S 4s paired with

LMR/SVE rims, 19x10, +35 square using

Ford Performance TPMS sensors.

This is an amazing summary of your research! Well done, and thank you. It's quite odd indeed that Continental doesn't offer a 295 width for a 19" rim.

I would try the snow but I live in lowlands and we have little snow and they salt every road almost immediately and I try to avoid such conditions for the underchassis :)

It's a demand thing. Only cars with wide tyres riding daily are (bigger) SUVs and those have bigger rims than 19". Imo all-season tyres are crap unsuitable for performance cars and switching tyres on one set of wheels is damaging to the wheels so best to have two sets, one with proper winter tyres, and rotate. It's bit more expensive but not that much (set of rims for less than $1000) and it spreads the tyre wear too.

Especially never understood all-season tyres all year long on a Mustang. That completely changes the character. I already switched to winter tyres and the grip is much worse than on summer tyres.

Lol I have these All seasons, the OEM Tires, and now I have to go back to 4S.
