Hey Guys,
I have a 2018 GT PP1 with the MT-82. I bought this car used with 7k miles on it. I’ve had the car for 6 months and it only has 10k miles on it. (I have a 2019 FiST as a second car so the GT isn’t on the road every day).
I have 3 annoying things with this car. I have the Coyote Tick, I have the 2k rattle, and the MT-82 sucks. I can drive the car at about 60% and it shifts fine and the car is smooth... anything more and that trans is not up for it... at least on my car. Under heavy load it’s inconsistent and occasionally locks me out of gear.
Other than that I love the car... Do you think I’m better off just paying off the rest of my loan and then sell it to somewhere like CarMax? Then I would drive FiST for awhile and save some money. I could later on get a 2020 GT with the 10 speed auto instead.
The tick and the 2k rattle I understand can still happen on any GT... but those don’t bug me too much. The MT-82 is really what drives me crazy.
What would you guys do? Any advice is appreciated!
