I installed BBK long tubes on my 2017 GT and when it's warm out the header rattles on the body under the car near where it mates with the mid pipe. What's the best way to go about moving the engine over a tiny bit?

I tried undoing the motor mount from the top(the horrible ones right under the header) and moving the engine a bit. I thought this worked but now that it is warmer out it is making that sound of contact again.

Any tips for fixing this are very welcome -thank you.

When you purchased the cheap BBK headers did you not realize there would be fitment issues?

It sounds like your piping is touching the bottom of the floorboard. You could add adjustable motor mounts and lower the motor by 1/4” to gain clearance, or pull the pipes and heat them up red hot and dimple them. The motor mount suggestion would be less I vasive

Turns out it was not fitment issues but owner issues. I had the mounts facing the body side when it should have been turned the other way. Looks like a speed bump knocked it up against the body but all is good now.
