Oh man... apparently Ford paint is still bad on the S650's... You would have thought this would have been rectified by now... .

The paint is referred to as a "19 footer"... LOL... too funny, but unfortunate that this type of concern somehow gets past QC... and new car owners are left to deal with it... IMO, I would never sign paperwork to buy if I saw these type of issues with a potential new car purchase and me inspecting it throughly.

Saw that video. Chicago Auto Pros is a local shop around here (they actually have a couple shops now). Jason and team are really good.

Agree, you’d think they would’ve rectified it by now. Just Ford doing Ford things apparently. Quality is Job #1 though :bandit:

It honestly should never be delivered to a dealer for a client to refuse in that condition.

I can't see the defects he's pointing because of all the orange peel :sunglasses:

Agreed. Although it appears someone caught something if there were sanding marks on the paint

I saw one real issue. Those things happen. Shipping damage happens.

To me it sounds like another youtuber crying like a baby.

Did you guys hear his point about vinyl stripes only lasting 4-5 years? Seems a bit low to me but this is the first time I’ve had a car that has vinyl on the outside

I’ve heard that before. I think it depends on a lot of factors. Protecting them with a wax or ceramic coating will help. If it’s parked outside 24/7/365 they’re going to fade and such a lot faster
