I think most think the opposite...like, ohhhh, they get it now.Consider how many people will think you are a dumbass when you trade in your newish Ecoboost for a GT. You don't want to go through that sh*t, trust me.
spot on.I've never heard of anyone wishing they got the Ecoboost after they buy a GT though.
Driving is about more than just a few snapshot numbers.A stock EB/PP auto is .5 seconds slower than a GT/PP to 60, and the EB/PP will out slalom and out brake a GT/PP. You get better mpg and better insurance.rates.
No need for hostility. I am simply pointing out a fact that the EB w/PP/Auto is the better Mustang....because there are so many stock GT/PP's out in the wild.
I think everyone on this forum and even non enthusiast clearly understand the fact that smaller engines typically get better mpg and better insurance rate compared to the performance vehicle in the lineup.
Maybe it's just me but it seems like everyone gets it except for the EB owners.
I got a lot of sh*t for it. It still embarrasses me. I essentially flushed a grand down the toilet by making a crappy choice to begin with. Yes, getting the GT fixed the error, but better to have not made the error to begin with.I think most think the opposite...like, ohhhh, they get it now.

Please listen to this guy. Take it from a real racer that has owned both cars. Not a magazine racer. There is a pecking order that's directly related to cost for a reason. Gt350>GT>EB=V6Nope. Certainly not the case.
I've ran the EBM on a road course. It makes it one lap before it pulls massive timing. No power 1.5-2 min into a 15 minute session is piss poor.
Sure, I had a quick EBM that was pretty good at beating most street cars at the strip, but I also was on a tire and had to beat the crap out of it. Heads up off the lights I would be lucky to get it spooled in time.
Sure, it's a fun car and I had a blast, but when it comes down to it the coyote is leaps and bounds above the EBM. I knew this going in, and I also knew I wouldn't keep the EBM for long.
Having to put another 6-7k in a car just to make 500whp reliably just seemed...well, stupid.
My post was not hostile-WTH!? You are a touch sensitive I see your reply fits hostility (face smacking) more than mine. You make no sense and clearly you are the Beavis in the picture. That's face slap #1, Beavis. No need for hostility. I am simply pointing out a fact that the EB w/PP/Auto is the better Mustang.

- You are pointing out an opinion not a fact. That's face slap #2.
- You say the EB/PP is the better Mustang. That's face slap #3.
- You cant argue how fast the EB is in a 0-60 (when you are in boost) and then talk about MPG in the same argument. That's face slap #4
- And a fifth slap for being an overly sensitive EB owner.
No need to consider it a face slap. I think the vast majority of people know that EB owner saying its better than a GT are either trolling or just in ownership defense mode.
No need for a reply, IMO
I vote used Premium GT or new base GT for OP.
310 is plenty...if you are coming from the era of mid-low 200hp V8 mustangs. I personally stepped down from a 500+rwhp mustang to the GT, so stepping even further down in power was not an option for me....mileage be damned.I "get it" and I bought the loaded EcoBoost. Maybe part of it is my age - 59 yrs old - but 310/320 is plenty of power for me and I get big smiles every time I get behind the wheel. I drive 300-400 miles each week for work and the mpg was a big factor for me... also the bells and whistles of the premium package; if I am going to live in my car every day I might as well enjoy the extra stuff. I bought this to enjoy my work drives and have some fun, which is why I also got a manual transmission. This is a daily driver that will have a LOT of miles put on it, not a garage queen for me to brag about to others.
I also live in a great area for driving - close to the Tail of the Dragon and only a half hour away from some other very twisty mountain roads - and the handling is incredible. The one and only thing I miss is the exhaust note, and that almost steered me to the GT. But the more I thought about it the more it occurred to me that I didn't want to pay $7k for the exhaust note. So I "get it", and I'm happy.

Truth right here.. that's one fast EB! But I'm sure you had a lot of headaches since pushing 4 bangers to their limit isn't reliable.Nope. Certainly not the case.

Damn, really sticking up for your EB huh?No need for hostility. I am simply pointing out a fact that the EB w/PP/Auto is the better Mustang.
