If they're the same price I would go GT. Where I live I wasn't able to find even a base GT within $10k of the loaded ecoboost premium so Ford made the decision for me.

I also knew beforehand what the 2.3L is like (2013 MS3) and what the 5.0L is like (2011 GT) so I don't feel like I "missed" anything.

I have owned many mustangs over the years from foxs to sn95s to s197s and now s550s, and i can say that it has never crossed my mind to buy a mustang if it didnt have 8 cylinders. My logic is if i cant afford a new v8 mustang buy a used gt. Now i have owned 4 and 6 cylinder cars and trucks but never in a mustang. If i need mpg i buy a honda civic. If i need a truck i buy a ranger...er well used to lol but you get my point.:D

Depends on the size of the turbo. The EB is very responsive down low
Depends on quite a few things, but if you're ever caught off boost you'll sure know it.

Start with the engine and go from there. For me it was always a sleek, light, nimble Turbo over the big old fat ass V8.....

Previous car was a mazdaspeed6. You couldnt pay me to take the ecoboost. Saturdays spent with b12 chemtool with the intake manifold off not fun. Once yall start getting more than normal knock and detonation its time to scrub those valves. If the eco was port and direct injection, id be driving one. On the positive side 125k and original turbo with little smoke. Although rare. Lol

It wouldn't even be a question for me. I bought a performance car for a reason and if a V8 is offered, than that is what I'm getting. I also want the V8 exhaust sound and no ecoboost or even V6 is going to give me that.

I also could care less about all of the Premium interior features. A base model car is fine with me.

Anyway, this is the reason why Ford and all of the other manufacturer's make the different models so that everyone has something to choose from. I enjoy what I buy and could care less what others think about it.

I just bought a GT Premium last week. I planned on buying the base model because I thought the Premium was out of reach financially for me. Anyway, with the 0% financing, and if you can find a Smart Bonus car like I did. You can get one for not much more a month (maybe $30 or $40). I mainly wanted the Premium for the leather, I didn't realize how many additional features you get with the premium, but it's fairly significant. I really don't care about all the technology stuff, after all it's more weight and more stuff to break, but in the end, a lot of it is really nice and tend's to get a lot of compliments from non-car people (pony lights, ambient lighting, switches, etc.). I could live without them, but I have to admit, for an extra $40 a month, it's worth it IMO.

Gt every day of the week. The V8 rumble never disappoints. And get the manual to keep it fun.

You don't need a manual to have fun with 8 cylinders.

Yes start with the engine and go from there. Start with the engine that has 435HP. Not the cute little sleek, nimble 310HP turbo.:D I mean if your gonna start with the engine.......Do it right!

You're completely right. And if you race/track your car, the automatic will get you the better numbers. But, in my experience, for my personal taste, the paddle shifters are not nearly as fun as rowing. But that's just me. You obviously feel differently. I dropped a Tremec TKO in my 67' Fastback because it feltstagnant after a few years. Having the clutch is more involved and just keeps it more fun for ME.

V8 car = fun. but a V8 with a manual is a different experience. Hell it even makes my v6 fking addicting.
Last year i was test driving GTs, the used 2015 GT auto was meh. But that 2016 manual tho:hail: its the only way to go if your gonna get a Mustang.
