Hi Guys, trying to learn a bit more about the "line lock" feature so I'm prepared for track day...

Can someone post a video or describe step by step instructions on how to properly utilize "line lock" in a 2015 GT (manual transmission)? I know it's pretty much self-explanatory in an auto.

Thanks!

I think what he's asking is...if you're supposed to hold the brake during line lock, how are you supposed to operate all 3 pedals at the same time from a dead stop with a manual tranny? Heel toe?

Turn on Line lock. Press Brake until it shows ok on dash. Foot off brake. Operate clutch and gas. Brakes will hold for 15 seconds after gas is applied.

Thanks... so line lock has to be used for a minimum of 15 seconds? Can't release it earlier than that?

Maximum of 15 seconds. At 15 seconds the front brakes will release. You can let off the gas at any point and apply the brakes before the 15 secs

Hi guys,

I can't seem to get past the "to engage firmly apply brake and hold" stage even when holding the brakes firmly for an extended period of time.

Am I supposed to heel and toe, or...?

Once line lock is engaged you should be able to let off the brake and hit the go pedal and let out the clutch. The brakes are applied for you.

More gracefully, I believe you can be in line-lock with the wheels spinning and then press a button on the steering wheel to cancel the line lock to let the car roll out from a stationary position.

Come to think of it...is there any reason that Launch Control is a MT exclusive?

Yeah the MT's need it more, but all it would take is a little bit of programming to add it to the 2016 auto's.

I can't seem to get it engaged. Can someone detail step by step instructions?
