Line Lock in a MT vehicle?

I can't seem to get it engaged. Can someone detail step by step instructions?

If I had my GT I'd do a video but anything I'd tell you right now would be purely speculative.

Yeah the MT's need it more, but all it would take is a little bit of programming to add it to the 2016 auto's.

Launch control would be useless with an auto because the converter will only stall so far. It's used with the manual to hold a specified RPM at launch allowing the driving to focus on smoothly releasing the clutch. With an auto, it would essentially be like trying to launch with traction control on.

How does it stall, when all it is doing locking the front brakes in and still having full power to rear wheels ? :shrug:

Maximum of 15 seconds. At 15 seconds the front brakes will release. You can let off the gas at any point and apply the brakes before the 15 secs

If you want to keep going forward within those 15 seconds, you can 'OK' or whatever on the steering wheel to end it early as well (I think)

That's line lock, not launch control.

Launch Control isnt even availble on AT.

Except in the Grimace's post that was initially quoted, he was responding to someone asking why there wasn't launch control for the autos....

For some reason.. After I hold the brake down, a message pops up saying "line lock not available", and it cancels. Any idea why?

Why would it be useless on an auto? You'd just do what you normally do launching an auto -- put it in neutral, rev the engine up to 6,000 rpm, and then drop the lever into drive.

Haven't done that with my current Mustang because I've never raced it, but neutral drops have been the way to long automatics since time immemorial.
