And you're getting a track car. Ford markets "five different package levels, for different performance demands and purposes.". You will have the 3rd one on the list.
Ford makes many versions of the Mustang with many different packages. A 4 CYL, 6 CYL, GT, GT PP, GT350base, Track Pack, Tech Pack, R, etc., etc. I guess when it comes to track capability the GT350 base and tech cars should be considered LEAST capable? Right? Possibly the least track capable Mustang...dare I say it...ever. I mean all the other versions/packages will finish ahead at track events. Just sayin. Maybe someday I can move up from my tech pack to an ecoboost! Hey, I can dream can't I? Fortunately I don't track my cars but I do feel for the base and Tech guys that do/try to.

I'm sorry I even posted that now. You have tunnel-vision, my friend.

I'm just on the other side of this argument. Yall are as narrow on this subject as me. You guys have beaten down anyone who doesn't praise the almighty ford for their perfect creation for the GT350. I've just been persistent in not letting yall push me off.

I've have gotten personal, but people have.

No, I just like a little objectivity but I'm afraid that some people grab onto JUST the item that makes their case and ignore the rest.

Hey Cab! Where have you been? Did it take you this long to make bail?

This thread would be way shorter and far less argumentative if only people with tech packs and base cars were posting here.

Just sayin'.
No Problem,I was actually offering support, because I believe Ford should find
the fix for this, several others with track packs and R's were adding comments.
often in support, if you don't want it, great.
I just don't believe whining and screaming will get results.

I just want one person to say, "Crap, it's my fault - I bought the wrong version of the GT 350."
knowing what i know after buying the farking thing and having it let me down, yep, bought the wrong version.

Oh how i wish my decision had been " I'd rather install sync3/nav/switches and seats...

Vs. - " I'll drive more on the street and take it to the track 1-2 times a year while i'm street driving regularly. Eh, it's a GT350, it'll last during HPDE, it's marketed to be able to seriously perform. It'll be fun for HPDE. if i was to go full on NASA, I'll add aftermarket coolers down the line and make it a track rat. I'd rather have Nav, more comfy seats and a better stereo. It would probably be a pain to modify the interior."

No the reality comes about that I could have had the car configured exactly as i wanted it by throwing 3 grand at the interior and spent a weekend swapping it out. The hardest part would have been finding a few 12v power leads for the seats.

So yeah.. C/N: I bought a pseudo horse that looks really fast, has great lineage and bloodlines, but throws up and passes out after the first 100 yards if i ride it at a horse track after hours.

does a great job of grazing in the field though... how serene.

not being dramatic. The car let me down. I regret my decision.

That being said. what's done is done. I'm not going to sell the car. I'll make it work for the uses that i'd like to have it for.

My bed, I made it. I made the choice. There are consequences to everything.

Sucks that the coolers weren't standard as they should have been.

With over 500 hp and no coolers, experienced track people know that lasting for a full HDPE session is not going to happen. Many of us grudgingly chose the track pack for that reason. Unfortunately people with little track experience wouldn't know how severe that environment is and understandably might choose the tech pack thinking it would handle a relatively short time on track.

That is why there is such debate about this. Most people who ended up choosing the track pack knew that there would be issues, and have a hard time seeing why others did not see this coming. People without track experience can point to the marketing of the car and can justifiably feel misled.

There is no blame here, other than Ford for missing an opportunity to make a bullet proof car. They've fixed that mistake with the 2017 models, and can hopefully do something for the 2016 and 2015 versions.

I hope they step up and use this as an opportunity to build goodwill with some of their early customers. Best wishes for a speedy and effective solution.
