No issues with spacers IMO, if they are hub-centric and you have extended lugs there is no issue, even at the track.
I've heard this but running spacers is not the way to go for me... would rather have a wheel built to spec.

That of course is ideal, but the dramatic offset differences for our cars make that pretty hard. Also makes it impossible to rotate if you want to run a square setup

I like to disassemble things.

With properly engineered and maintained hardware, an entirely valid statement.

Something to keep an eye on are S197 stud sizes used on S550 cars, in concert with spacers. I'm aware of a few failures when the 1/2" x 20tpi studs are used instead of the S550's normally sized M14 x 1.5 lugs.

I would avoid a spacer, and I speak from experience here. The only way I could make the 6g 20" wheels work was with a spacer... I decided to go against that idea.
What's wrong with spacers? I've never had an issue.

I ran spacers for years hub centric installed longer studs never had a issue. People on forums dont like them.
 yeah, agreed they work just fine. I mean, needless to say, if you have 3 threads engaged on your Volkswagen, a spacer could be part of a bigger problem but the spacer concept is not flawed if properly applied.

Regarding the reason, who wants a car on which you can't rotate the tires? A mustang is still a front heavy pig and needs more front tire not less. It's not a 911. Speaking of 911's, have you seen the size of some of the factory spacers on those cars? Some seem wider than a 10 hole on a fox body! That said, I'm still looking for pics of the ideal setup with 305's all around.

Yeah they probably do work just fine, but I'd rather have the appropriate spec wheel.

Seems like michelin doesnt make 325s for R35, when running a R30 tire in the back and R35 front is that a problem as far as ECU goes (speedometer, abs, traction, etc)?

So:

305/35/19 and 325/30/19

Or

305/30/19 and 325/30/19

Also for the 325 tires, is 11" wheel too narrow? I would really prefer buying a square 11" wheel setup but it seems like 325s would prefer 11.5"

Still not sure if this is a good idea though due to the understeer comments. I dont want to invest 6-7k in this setup only to find out I have a problem at the track.

Take your car to the track stock and drive it, or align and add camber plates on the front and then take it to the track and see how it feels. Then you can make an educated decision on whether you still run staggered sizes or a square setup.

Don't depend on interwebz heros when you don't know their abilities. Setup the car for you. ;)

If there's enough interest in the Finspeed or Cor wheels, maybe we can try to set up a Group buy?

APEX is considering making wheels for Mustangs. They are very reputable in the BMW track crowd. I lobbed in my inquiry for a set of 19x11s and 19x11.5s. Please lob in your inquiries.

I am happy to be part of a group buy as long as we go with a very lightweight option. To me that number is 19-20 lbs.
