I've been browsing alternative tire options as well and made a quick list of the available tire sizes that were relatively close to OEM. I'm sure this isn't everything that's out there but maybe it will help.

I should have mentioned that these are All Season tire options. There are definitely other options available for Summer tires.

I have a 2019 Gt350 that came with Michelin Cup 2 tires. Doses seem to be much of a choice for alternative tires. Michelin Pilot Super Sport of Pirelli P Zero. I want a good street tire and I know from experience with a Porsche I owned the Cup 2's are great on the track but are not really practical for everyday use. The Cup 2 are not good in any wet weather. Living in Seattle there are several months that you can't avoid wet roads and I don't want this car to be a garage queen.
A couple of questions.
1.Never owned a Pirelli tire. Any feed back with the Pirelli on the GT350 platform.
2.Any in sight if the Michelin 4S will be available in 295-35-19 and 305-30-19. I had the 4s on a previous car and they were terrific in all conditions on and off the track.
3. Can the standard GT350 wheels take the gt350R tire size? 305-30-19, 315-340 -19
4. any experience with other tires in our size? suggestions?
5. I know the Pilot super Sport is a good tire but I understand it is being phase out in favor of the 4S. Dosent seem right to spend $1,000 on a set of tires that are b being phased out in favor of a better compound.

Any thoughts, advice or experience on this matter is appreciated.
I have an extra set of one wheels with street tires. 285 35 19 front 325 35 19 rear. Fireshawk Indy. The reviews were strong and the price was right. They had good ratings for wet driving. Just had them mounted and have a few hundred miles on them.

Hello. I read through all of this thread. Unfortunately did not see the answer I am looking for. Has anyone installed 305's up front and 315's in back on the stock GT350 wheels? Thanks in advance.

If you're asking about 305/30 and 315/30 MPSC2's, then the answer is "yes". I've done it a bunch and it works fine.

Wonderful to hear. I am planning on going with the 4S version. Just prefer the wider look.

Point of reference: at the GT350 track attack racing school, all the GT350's have the Michellin Super Sports on them. I'm sure they use those, over the PS2's for the longevity.
And I would imagine, if the Super Sports were really being phased out, the school would've switched to some other tire by now.

A lot of people buying the 4S have noticed they run wide even at the 305/295 sizes. Tire rack online has the actual measurements on tread width, etc. personally, I would check that out before buying the wider tires on a tire that already runs wider.

Thanks much. Already have chatted with Tire Rack. One agent said yes, another no. I looked at a Mach1 yesterday with the upgraded suspension. They had the larger tires (305F, 315R) but the rim sizes are exactly the same as the GT350. Below is an extract from the Steeda write up I found. Left is GT350, right is Mach 1. This is what got me to thinking it is possible maybe.

Just a crazy idea. Thanks for your input, always appreciated.

Before you get too far into all the permutations and combinations, you can get the information you want from Michelin directly. Go here:

https://www.michelinman.com/auto/tires/michelin-pilot-sport-4-s

and scroll down to the part of the page where they have the various sizes. 305/30x19 and 315/30x19 are both listed there, and if you click on the down arrow on the far right beside where it says "buy now", it'll show you the mechanical specs.

Both tires are approved by Michelin for 19" rims in 10.5", 11" and 11.5".

Also, and I mean this in the nicest and most respectful way possible, I'd recommend that you stop studying what works on other S550 variants. It's not helpful. The GT350 chassis is actually different and unless you understand those differences, you can end up making choices that aren't optimal, or that might not work at all. The good news is that the GT350 chassis differences usually give you more options rather than fewer. A good example is the front end - GT350 front fenders are wider than GT front fenders, so there's more room under them for wider wheels and tires.

No disrespect taken. Just looking for knowledge / experience. Your point on the chassis difference is spot on. Hence why the thought of ...... if it fits the smaller S500, why couldn't it work on the larger GT350? Again, just thinking out loud on options. This is about form and not function. The car drives great. Having owned Saleens since 1989, it is nice to have a factory car that has a proper suspension.

Again, thank you all for your insight!

Thanks for this thread, I read over it like a million times before finally buying a set of Michelin AS4s 285/40/19 on all 4 corners.

I like to daily mine, and in addition to having better grip in the torrential Georgia rain, I also now have about an extra .5 inch of ground clearance, got rid of the tramlining and now have much improved tread life.

I still have the Sport Cup 2s that I'll remount if and when I go for a track day, but it just felt like a horrible waste to burn through them in 5-7k miles of I wasn't going to be on the track.

Also, under light spirited driving, the AS4s have held up great and I haven't broken them loose yet at all.

Fit no problem GT350 Stock Wheels? No spacers needed? What would the speedo error be? Thanks...

This. Right. Here. 4S’s are huge. I agree it’s a bad a$$ tire, but the no 315 option (at the time) drove me away. They are HUGE compared to the same size in any other brand. I like some sidewall stretch so it was a turn off for me and went with another brand. Zero regrets. I’m sure a lot of folks buy the 4S because they think Michelin is the only option for this car, but it is most certainly no the end-all-be-all tire for this car. There are (better?!?!) options. And in the looks department, most certainly better options.
