Any chance we will get to see some pics of the new shoes on the babe? :D
Sure thing when I get some lugs... I haven't been searching for any for the R yet. I'm still on the fence about replacing my factory studs with an open lug setup as used on the Ford Racing Performance School cars.

Curious why you ditched your 6G R-specs?

I never had R-specs... I had the 20" wheels. There were a few reasons why I got rid of them, mainly customer service and the issue with the R lug-length.

I have to say that I am more impressed with the Forgestars from the outset, but there are plenty of happy 6g customers out there.

I weighed the fronts and they're 27 lbs...

19x11 wheel square setup, so running Hankooks Ventus 305/30/19's all around.
what finish did you get? gunmetal? looks a little bronze and it looks great. please share photos once you get these mounted.

27 lbs is a lot no?

I found out that COR has them for 19.5 lbs for the same size. Thats pretty close to the CF wheel weight for about 1/4 price (5k for set).

Also someone made a comment in the 6R thread about running 305/325 not being a good idea for the base car due to too much understeer. Does anyone have any comments regarding this? Thats the size I was planning to run since 315 is a very weird size for not too many options.

Forgestars are flowformed, not fully forged.

Yes, 27lbs is hefty but I'm not planning on running these on track. I'm wayyyyyyyyy south of $5k, as well.

Oh I see and I also see you have an R so these are your daily wheels to not to ruin the CF wheels.

I don't daily my car, but I do plan to travel with it and in doing so, I would feel much safer leaving the car at a hotel overnight with these wheels rather than the CFs. Plus, I'd like a little more weather protection than the SC2s offer.

That is an untested theory at this point, and only relevant when pushing the car on the track. For street use a 305/325 setup would be just fine.
