I have a 2019 Gt350 that came with Michelin Cup 2 tires. Doses seem to be much of a choice for alternative tires. Michelin Pilot Super Sport of Pirelli P Zero. I want a good street tire and I know from experience with a Porsche I owned the Cup 2's are great on the track but are not really practical for everyday use. The Cup 2 are not good in any wet weather. Living in Seattle there are several months that you can't avoid wet roads and I don't want this car to be a garage queen.
A couple of questions.
1.Never owned a Pirelli tire. Any feed back with the Pirelli on the GT350 platform.
2.Any in sight if the Michelin 4S will be available in 295-35-19 and 305-30-19. I had the 4s on a previous car and they were terrific in all conditions on and off the track.
3. Can the standard GT350 wheels take the gt350R tire size? 305-30-19, 315-340 -19
4. any experience with other tires in our size? suggestions?
5. I know the Pilot super Sport is a good tire but I understand it is being phase out in favor of the 4S. Dosent seem right to spend $1,000 on a set of tires that are b being phased out in favor of a better compound.

Any thoughts, advice or experience on this matter is appreciated.

Same thoughts here... I don't take delivery until early July.
I was thinking of going with the Pirelli's as well, once my OEM's are gone. The Pirelli's at least have measurable tread depth.
I have experience with the P-Zero's on my 2017 Cayman and I am not disappointed with them.I will probably get 15 - 20K on the original set. I have not tracked it, but I have spent many hours driving it like Porsche intended it to be driven. I have no idea how the handling will be affected on the Shelby with the different tires., and I can't compare the handling of the 718 to the Shelby.
Direct feedback from someone who has experienced both tires on a GT350 would be helpful

If they are being phased out, does that mean they’ll make 4S in our sizes, or will the only option be to go to cup 2?
Who knows unfortunately. Those Pilot Super Sports for the base GT350's were pretty specialized. 295/35 is SO weird.

Only 295/35/19 front not the 305/35/19 rear per Discount Tire website. Sorry about that.

I’ve ordered stock size Pilot Super Sports from Discount Tire. Would rather have the 4s but do not want or like the lower profile look. About 6 months ago I reached out to Michelin about the possibility of stock 350 sizes in the 4s and was told nope, not gonna happen.
Now...I just need my car to arrive!!!

What size are your Cup2s. I'm in Bothell if you want to sell them.

I am in Kenmore. They are 295-35-19 and 305-35-19. I am waiting delivery of the car next week and plan to change them out.

im running Nitto NT555G2s they lasted forever on my old car and on my R replica wheels they should last just as long. great in the rain (enough rain to rip off the front fang) and not very noisy. fronts are 285 not 295 so they are a tiny bit smaller in width and diameter but for the price you cant beat em in my opinion.

The pilot super sports work great as a noob track tire/dd, they make good grip wet & dry, they're forgiving as well. Working my way through my second now.

295 & 305 4S tire sound like a good bet too.

If you look for 305/30/19 tires the options open up quite a bit.
