LIGHTNING BLUE GT350/R Thread

The moderately small dealership where I custom ordered my 2017 lightning blue stripeless black roof GT350 in May 2016 ordered an identical GT350 (minus the comfortable seats) to put on the lot late in 2017. I noticed the clone when driving past the dealership, and had to stop to take a few pictures in late October. That poor car is apparently still on the lot - hopefully, they have since moved it into the showroom so that it is not having to cope with the recent -12F temperatures and snow. (Reposted to remove the dealership's name from one of the pictures.)

Campbell Ford in Michigan. The car is still listed on the company's website at $5,000 over sticker (in May 2016 the three GT350s on the showroom floor were marked up $15,000, so they might be willing to deal).

When I took my GT350 in to have the oil line recall fix performed, one of the service techs told me that another GT350 came in, but was hidden around back. I asked around, and heard that the GT350 that had just arrived might have been damaged in shipment. I noticed the lightning blue GT350 by the road at the dealership less than a month after that conversation, but do not know if it is the same car that was damaged in shipment. If you are interested in the car, check it over carefully.

interesting. i think i have seen this one on CARS.com for under MSRP. i am in Chicago and been "looking" for a while. just have not found the right car and deal to pull the trigger on.

Finally made it happen after two years! Drove her home in falling snow and salt covered roads. It was glorious. Now into the garage she goes cause Chicago Winter!

Yeah, ours are 2 of 7 all LB R's, maybe rarer, depending on whether any of the other 5 are base cars (no R electronics package). That's based on the preliminary 2017 production nos. But regardless of rarity, I still love the stripe delete, all LB look.

I HAVE A 17 ALL LB NO STRIPES I LOVE IT..I GET THUMBS UP EVERYTIME I PULL IT OUT OF THE GARAGE.. THE KIDS NEXT DOOR COME RUNNING EVERYTIME THEY HEAR IT START UP.KINDA FUNNY..

I waited 2 years and finally purchased mine 12/22 and took delivery 12/28. It was not my 1st color choice, but when I saw the sellers picture I knew I had found my car. It had 1509 miles with the black roof. Something I would not have ordered if I had purchased new.

Went straight to my garage where it will sit until the weather breaks and the roads are fee of salt.

Yeah I would have ordered some stripes too but the boss said no. I figured getting a R made us even

Now that I have it, I like the low profile look. The car speaks for itself. Low key sleeper like.

Any 2018 GT350 LB painted roof with black OTT stripes out there?

The Ford configuration pages shows that the roof stripes are grey with the black roof option but finding real life pictures is tough.

The more I look at it the more I like it. The 2017 LB w/black roof option looks like it came with out roof stripes.

Am I crazy?

I don’t think you can get the stripes with the black roof option for 2018, a change from 2017. Maybe they’re gray on the Ford site as in “grayed out,” not available.
