murick you aren't missing anything mymode is not anything great. Skipping it is not a bad idea.
Yet I reasonably frequently see posts of people wanting to drive in a particular mode (e.g. sport), but complain they have to skip through menus to get to their favourite exhaust mode (e.g. track), or dash setting (e.g. track) - mymode fixes that perfectly :like:

On the issue of differences between Mach 1 and GT's in UK, we lost the physical oil pressure gauge, why did they take away the digital gauge?
Yeah it’s frustrating isn’t it … :frown:

I’m not sure if you know, but you can turn on the digital diff temp with ForSkin and it works as we have all the hardware.

You can also turn on the digital oil pressure gauge, but it won’t work - it’s like whatever drives it in the background is missing.

Based on a GT, we are slightly different around the oil cooler / oil take off area due to the RHD setup, and I assume (but have never proven ) that’s where the problem lies.

I know the Mach is different in that area, but I wonder if the same issue (or non ForSkin programmable) programming carries over ?

The infamous oil cooler that in the first cars where breaking and taking the engine with them... but I didn't know that because of it you miss the oil pressure gauge.
Are you able to see the actual pressure via Forscan or it's just missing the sensor?

I guess the choice to remove anything "oil related" from the dashboard was a marketing one...

I'm not sure on the pressure being visible via ForSkin, but I will check next time I have it connected :like:

Normally I wouldn't like to guess when that would be - but I suspect it might be sooner rather than later if the current recall reaches us in euro land (which means any ForSkin programming will be reset).

I figured people either hadn't noticed, or simply (and most likely) choose to ignore my childish reference ... :giggle:

What's it replaced with?

A little off topic, but speaking of gauges - there is no reading for transmission temp on my car. Is that just a manual thing?

I was able to get my mode with Sport Trans, normal ride and track exhaust. But…you need to have a A10 for that.

If you leave the transmission in S mode while in Normal Mode, then choose exhaust to sport/track. Save that in my mode.

Move the transmission to D, the car will go back to Normal mode, but will keep the exhaust note. Click twice the toggle switch, back to my mode.

Now you have the car in D more, with S transmission, normal ride and exhaust note you selected before. If you go into reverse, then the car will go back to Normal mode trans, just click twice again the mode toggle switch.

This is how I run my car when driving around. Because I like the soft mange ride damp for daily driving, but also like the S mode. If I use my mode the way i described it, after using the paddle shifters it will reverte to Full auto. There’s no need to keep holding the right paddle to go back to full auto.

Yes, please stop saying that. Not funny after a while.
Otherwise, I truly enjoy your other occasional non-mixed-company innuendo posts!

I use my mode as my “highway cruise”, it’s normal + quiet exhaust and comfort steering since those are the only 2 options that are not part of another drive mode 😂.

It has been nice when cruising at 80 for hours.

I was surprised at how much I did NOT like comfort steering. I am no track junky but just found it too floaty/vague even for regular driving.
