I love my M1, but one of the most head scratching features has to be My Mode.

Outside of exhaust, my 2023 doesn't allow for custom settings in any drive mode but normal. Meaning, you can't adjust the steering or suspension independently in Sport or Track, and save it as "My Mode". Which makes the feature pretty darn useless.

After scouring the internet it seems this is unique to manual M1s and GT pp2s only. Why on earth would Ford do this, and why would a manual transmission effect "My Mode" customization?

I'd love to be able to drive in sport mode and switch the suspension and steering to normal.

Has anyone talked to a Ford rep about this or found a work around? I'd think a simple software update would solve the issue.

Totally agree. It is useless if you can't customize it any way you want.

My euro / PP1 / mag ride / GT is the same.

But it allows me to save mymode as my preferred drive mode and customise the dash and exhaust (which is all I would really want to do anyway) :like:

Ford programmed the mag ride and steering to work as a matched pair, at least in my mind it makes sense that they can't be divorced :like:

WD :like:

Except, the A10 guys can apparently do it.

And when in Normal mode, you can change the steering and exhaust, but not the throttle or suspension

Guys I need an Excel chart to understand what has just been said.....

I've never used it on my euro GT / pp / 10R. It's already enough to have the:
  1. Normal
  2. Normal but shifter in Sport (that makes the mode Sport)
  3. Sport +
  4. Sport + but shifter in Sport (that makes the mode Sport + BUT with permanent paddles)
  5. Exhaust settings
  6. Steering settings
I never really tried hard enough to have the MyMode setup correctly. It's already cumbersome enough.....

.... but now I have to try it. This spring. :crying:

The. Car should start in my mode ! And you should be able to customize it. The only thing mymode does is give you your favorite mode at 2 clicks.

I got it set to quiet mode start all the time and two clicks later im

sport + with track exhaust.

also fyi you don't have to hit "ok" when the little track thing pops up. Just ignore it and it goes away keeping whatever setting you chose. People think you have to hit ok.

Again, we're talking steering and suspension customization in other drive modes. And it seems most of you have autos.

Exactly what I am set at. Easy enough. Would love to be able to toggle down 2x to go back. I work second shift and moving back to quiet before I pull in garage requires me to hit multiple buttons , it sucks.

They should have made a toggle for active exhaust modes. But that's another conversation...

Guys, while I feel your pain, I must admit that I never even tried to set up My Mode. The color (as long as it is blue) looks fine. I never needed to decouple steering from suspension, etc. Plus using My Mode seemed to be more of a hassle than a quality of life feature. So I kind of settled down on Normal, or, when on a highway or a nice road - Sport+. I am totally a Ford sheep :).

What I hate is the throttle mapping in Sport+, but I guess, as a sheep, I cannot really complain :).

On the issue of differences between Mach 1 and GT's in UK, we lost the physical oil pressure gauge, why did they take away the digital gauge?
