Hung up a cobra jet banner and had this custom metal sign made. Still waiting on it's arrival.

I finally got my garage back after dealing with various contractors for what seemed like an eternity. I‘ve since installed a 2 post lift and mini split. I’ve always wanted a lift and man, is so much better than working on the ground!

@NGOT8R Very cool, and on my list. I was checking out how the garage door works with the lift. Looks like you can't open it with the car that high. But that is a very small price to pay for having your own lift. Looks great

Thanks! You are correct, I can only go that high when the garage door is closed.

Latest update to my garage, a compressed air reel.

IMG_5104.jpg

This will make using my air tools much more convenient. The hose that I had been using was one of those that has a memory and was a pain to use. I stored the hose coiled up over the handle of my compressor, taking patience to do so neatly.

For the new reel, I paid extra to have the superior hose , it's super pliable and lays flat without a memory.

I also wanted to fit a Prevost coupler as part of the upgrade, which required new Euro high-flow fittings to be installed in my tools. The S1 couplers are brilliant, they release the air pressure with the press of the green button without potentially shooting the tool across the garage.

I got a chance to use it today, cleaning the carpet mats on my sister's car. I was pressed for time and would normally just skip using the Tornador owing to the need to mess about with the hose. Not today, just pulled the hose out and went to town.

Did you get the Ford Motorsport sign from the seller on eBay? I've seen the one guy who sells quite a bit of re-pops and was wondering about the quality from someone who's actually bought one.

There's a seller on CL in Roade island, that has at least 6 light up signs: ford, mach 1, boss 302, cobra, etc.

I haven't gotten it yet. Found him on Facebook. Home custom is the name. Should ship this week.

A special thanks to @compprep for sending me some more plates. And after multiple attempts to pay him for them, he just sent them to me. This truly is a great place to meet people.

A couple of additions over the last few weeks -

Another supersized cabinet, separating my detailing tools/bulk chemicals and general workshop tools.

Today I assembled another roll cabinet to provide a home for a new tool chest and better sort a variety of other tools -

Still a bit of fine tuning to do, but I'm happy with this corner of the garage now.

Next: Improving my compressed air system.
My garage is an evolving beast!

Despite saying I was happy with this corner of the garage, I went ahead and added another cabinet.

IMG-8103.jpg

This is another Maxim Mega 60 to match the two others already in the garage. The goal was to better utilize the space on hand, opening up space in the existing cabinets to better organize the contents of each.

IMG-8105.jpg

With a couple of interruptions, this large cabinet took me a couple of hours to assemble, plus another hour messing about with re-organizing the contents off all three.

The original/first cabinet remains for bulk chemicals, as well an assortment of other related items such as mixing bottles, spray heads, spray bottles, old towels ect. As you can see, I now have more room for chemicals!

IMG-8114.jpg

The middle/second cabinet is now dedicated to power tools. This includes general tools as well as my polishers and vacuums which have migrated from cabinet one.

(I have also decided to bring back my woodworking tools from storage to have them here for convivence. As a teen, I was mad on woodworking and almost became an apprentice cabinet maker, before gardening took over as my passion, followed by cars and detailing, can you see a pattern of all or nothing here? Anyway, my father set me up with tools to get me started, which thinking back was incredibly generous, so I feel somewhat bad that they never got used professionally.)

IMG-8118.jpg

The newest/third cabinet houses an assortment of gardening equipment, which have moved from the second cabinet. Weed sprayers, ladder, cart, buckets, garden bags and the dirty rag pile all call this home. This allows for a less cluttered look having them all stored this way.

IMG-8120.jpg

That's it for cabinets in this section of the garage, I promise..........................there is no more room! :giggle:

The next project is one that I'm very excited about! I'm just waiting for a couple of tradesmen to make it possible.

I like it! You can never have too much storage space.
