Yea, it is. It shouldn't have happened, but others have had it worse. The funny thing is that Penske is supposed to be top notch. My car went to Penske the first time, was there for two weeks, and then was rejected by Ford for quality issues. It went back to Penske and sat for another two weeks only to get this.... Crap.

I need to catch my breath before I go and order the CF hood. Its definitely on the radar, but I'm doing nothing but pissing money out the door right now. The hood will require new latches, heat shield, and paint. I can paint, but to make it 100%, I'd hire that out. It cant look too nice though, otherwise it won't match the penske stripes, lol.

Aside from the issues you found, have you driven it and beat it around yet? The Predator engine is a true gem.

My car had similar issues with the paint. I had stuff that looked like tiny paint splatters all over the hood and driver side front fender. I used a clay bar and it was easily removed, but still. My spoiler had what looked to be a giant scratch on it, but it turned out to be a scuff mark made by some idiot. Penske is still F%$#^%g us.

It was just splatter from the compound they used. It was just lazy that they didn't clean it off. What pissed me off is the compound cuts in my hood. That was crap work, flat out inexperienced or rushed.
The wing is a manufacturing defect. The side plate is made of two pieces of carbon fiber. Where the seam meets, there is a hairline crack on both sides. The left side is worse, but the right side is there too.

Congrats to receiving your CFTP Tom. I'm sure you will get it squared away with you attention to detail. Now on another note....Need to police that driveway sir...that grass and clover in the cracks is unacceptable.

Tom, car looks great. The painted stripes do look nice, albeit with the time and issues. Hopefully the annoyance of the wait falls long behind you and you can enjoy the car moving forward. Now , lets see some mods!

2 weeks? You might want to check with Alan at Invinca Shield. His shop is in Longwood Fl. I live over 2 hrs away from him. He comes to my house and does all my cars right in my garage.

I talked to Dave today. He told me he can get it down to about a week leaving the wing and bumper to do at a later time. Both have warranty work to be done and it was agreed not to rush it and get it done right. I expect photos of the next mod shortly. Hint: You cant get this option with painted on stripes.............
