I've absolutely loved my ownership experience with the "R." An absolute blast to drive, and the car comes alive above 5,000RPM. Had to "upgrade" to the beast, GT500. A totally different car, and as fun to drive - even more fun! Paddle shifting an American

I've driven both. You just can't compare to the GT500. It's on another level.

I dont agree. The 350R is much more suited for a technical shorter course. It is more refined and it weighs less. The 500 has raw horsepower and a DCT. They can't be compared in any direct manner.

If I was on a smaller more technical course, I'd want the 350R. If I was on a high speed flat outcourse, the 500 is the option.

Apples and oranges.

Sorry to the ones who want to feel better about their purchase or transition. The obvious solution is have one of each.

I agree with the facts in a race course setting of different styles. In a street driving. Daily driving setting, the gt500 wins hands down. They are very different types of drive trains and different purposes. Like I said, I drove both and the 500 is just a better overall car for my straight line south Florida type racing.

So you tracked them both and prefer the 500? I'm asking because I passed on a 500 just because of the weight, HP and torque curve and went with the 350. Now I based this on nothing related to these cars mind you. My previous track car was a gen 5 SS 1LE and I drove a ZL1 and it just felt unbalanced and nose heavy. Despite the really noticeable HP increase, it wasn't as useable on track. Again this is based on my track ability and I'm not the G.O.A.T. lol.
I just compared high revving engine, weight, grip, torque curve. And decided the GT 350 was the better car for the courses at my disposal. I'm always wondering if I made the wrong decision. What tracks have you had it on?

Don’t need a 350 or 500 for that type of driving a boosted Gt will handle that no problem. To truly appreciate what either of those cars do you need to get on a track. Whole different experience.

I've owned a boosted gt lol. Also a 2012, and 2 2014 gt500s. One was a super snake. Will a built boosted gt auto beat a 2020 with mods? Mmmm maybe.. I plan to go 8s in mine. So it's not really something I worry about.
