Catless might gain a few HP over the Kooks Green Cats, but the sound damping properties of the Kooks cats was preferred. I do several events per year that have to be run with strict noise restrictions.Catless would probably gain 5-10 more too if anyone wanted to go that route. I'm very impressed, but I knew Kooks would do it right.
I liked the sound of the OEM mufflers on the video with the Kooks Headers and X-Pipe. Bu tI like the sound before it even went to Kooks. The whole reason I took the car was to uncork the factory exhaust and gain power.I'm more interested in keeping the stock mufflers until someone makes a active muffler. I like the idea to choose between modes. Sounds good though.
The Stock mufflers open at WOT. The Kooks mufflers are not active. However, they are built to accept the valves so that their are zero issues with the cars computer system. The driving modes will still be active even though this car uses a non active muffler system. No tune needed. I was also very surprised to see such a difference in mufflers on a NA combo. Its all about moving a large volume of air efficiently.Do we know if they had the stock mufflers open or closed? Also are the kooks mufflers active? I still can't believe the mufflers added 10hp.
