Hello I’ve been really wanting to get into auto cross and track more but don’t know much as im young and family isn’t really into cars. Anyways so I decided I’m gonna properly upgrade the suspension on my 2021 10 speed 5.0, I was originally looking at Steeda pro action adjustable struts but then on their website I noticed these for sale for the holidays. https://www.steeda.com/koni-s550-mu...589sport.html#/filter:ss_ymm:Mustang$253E2021 and I realized a full set of these costs 100 less than the Steeda and look great so it may be worth the consideration. As for driving I daily drive but drive aggressive on streets as we have mostly smooth roads and little traffic and as said before I do plan to auto cross and eventually track.
Also if it matters the springs I plan to use are the eibach sportLine pros

Which struts should I go with?

Get the Steedas. They're made by Koni for Steeda with special valving for S550s. Basically, they can be set stiffer.

Also, you need to sort the IRS. Do the other Steeda stuff in my sig line too.

My advice is not to listen to other people’s random advice. You can start with my advice here!

Only mod what you personally think is deficient about the car. Otherwise you’re just letting other people’s confirmation bias drain your wallet. If you personally think something is lacking and needs improvement, then go for it and ask opinions.

As for steedas or konis. Both are valved for the car (its ridiculous to say that steedas are valved for mustangs and imply the konis are valved, what, at random?). The only thing thats true is the steedas are valved to steeda’s specs and the konis are valved to koni’s specs. Lots of hardcore autocrossers have used the Koni yellows to good effect with stock springs. I’ve yet to hear any good explaination of the difference between the steeda and koni valvong. I have not heard the steedas were stiffer (i heard something else actually), besides IMHO Koni yellows were plenty stiff for me with steedas competition springs. I didn’t even use the max stiff settings. Paired with eibachs idk ymmv.

Think about camber plates for the front, thats my only recommendation if you’re tracking the car…. That and welcome to the CAMC autox class.

The stock IRS bushings are way to soft. Get the steeda support system. Also get the IRS braces, these stiffen the chassis along with keeping the IRS from moving. They also give an added place to jack the car or to put jack stands. The above with your vertical links will make the rear solid but not harsh.

I do like Steeda products so I would go with their shocks if it was my decision. Personally I run Bilstein's with steedas min drop springs and am as happy as a clam.

I have the Koni yellow struts and the Eibach Sportlines and have had them for a few years and am very happy with the set up. A word of wallet warning though as the Sportlines change the geometry of the suspension which will need correcting (Bump Stop Kit) and camber plates to make adjusting camber correctly. At the time of my chassis/steering/suspension mods money was not an issue and I had all the work done at a shop in Seattle that specialized in Mustangs and Corvettes and racing set ups. The car handles superbly and is not my daily driver. See my sinature for all my mods.

if you are going to track it upgrade the front brakes before anything else.

What should I upgrade about them?
Depends on which brakes you have. If you have the 6 pot brembos you are fine. If you have the 4 pot you need to get some rotors that can be cooled, like 2 piece.

Do not track the car if you have base gt brakes. I found this out the hard way. If you have the 6 piston brembos with performance pack just upgrade the pads to track pads and see how it goes, you may have to add cooling ducts also.
