Yeah tried that it's like the damn things are seized in there
Mine were a bear to get off to. Ended up using an air hammer. Still took a good 30 sec with that to knock them out. Otherwise just keep hammering away. They will eventually budge.

I just left the nuts barely on the bolts and used a good hammer like the Cj pony part install shows.
I assume higher mileage cars are harder to get out, but mine popped out easily with a normal sized claw hammer after about 10 whacks, maybe try a 4lb sledge.......

Tried all these things. Thanks for the suggestions folks. Much appreciated for the quick response. We've hammered to the point of starting thread damage :/ were putting the bugger back together. I unfortunately don't have access to an air hammer :( going to go to a local shop to have them deal with it.

Yeah, you're going to damage them getting them out. You need replacements

Mine took a beating with a 4lb hammer, but came loose when hit hard and square enough.

Spares splined bolts are recommended.

For anyone doing the Koni rears, I found that you can still use the factory dust cover by drilling a small hole in the top of it. And it still allows you to make adjustments with the tool.

Either I'm very lucky or much stronger than I thought. I used a little piss ant hammer and got the splines out no problem 4-6 taps. Also was able to remove the cradle bolts easy with hand tools. I was expecting to have to use crazy tard strength by what some people say. No problems.

Yeah that seems the be the norm. But no such luck for me, and I haven't had a chance to get back in with an air hammer to blast them out :/

I had a 4lb hammer and had to turn the wheels to get a better swing on those front spline bolts. Man I had to swing hard, and swing a lot before they started to move. Defiantly had to use more swinging force than some of the videos I've seen.

I've taken mine in and out a few times. Some times it was easy two or three whacks other times I had to whack it for ten minutes.

Glad to see a bunch more Koni installs! As many of you are probably aware, ours have been shipping out steadily!

We may have an update on our shocks/struts very soon... :D

I just drove my car up to Ford Nationals in Carlisle, PA from Atlanta, GA. It was a 1600 mile round trip from Wednesday-Sunday.

I chatted with the guys at Koni and gave them my feedback on their new struts/shock setup. Nice guys to chat with.

The car rode perfect the entire trip. I have mine set 1.25 turns off the firmest setting and paired with the Steeda ultralite linears for reference. The ride is really perfect at this setting. For those on the fence, get these Koni's. They are worlds beyond the GTPP shocks and struts.
