did you install a new clutch/flywheel? if so, maybe a bolt came loose? it could also be a header leaking.

I have heard blown header gaskets sound just like a rod knock, but if happened right after the clutch install thats probably wheir i would start looking.

Yea another thing whatever guy came up with the magnet idea was good idea.If u can get a real strong magnet and put it on the bell housing,if its a bolt or something metal the magnet make might hold it while its running and keep it from bouncing around.Would need a strong magnet though.

It's so erratic and inconsistent. I doubt anything wrong with the motor. Man that sounds like something metallic bouncing off shit. Get that tranny off.

So no clue if this is it, but shortly after installing my supercharger I had the water pump pulley bolts start to loosen. Made a pretty good rattle/racket noise. Nevermind, just saw you ran it without the belt, sorry for reading/video watching negligence.

^^^^^Sounds like a flywheel bolt or maybe a nut or washer from the pressure plate. Definitely need to pull the tranny.

Listened to videos again. I hear a bottom end knock in there as well as main sound.
I would guess rod end slop from spun bearing or wallered out rod ends may be allowing valve slap.
I hope it is tranny, but the sound timing is way too close to being rod w valve interference.
Once there is excess rod play(just faintest knock), the constant shock loading can hammer out enough excess slop where the piston can coast into a bent dragging valve. If you had light knock 2 months back, it is possible you ran out off clearance from valves over time.

Does the louder main knock go away on light 2nd gear accel from a stop?

I do kinda hear two knocks as well. The main higher pitched one is not rod knock. Too high pitched. The lower pitched one could be, but that also seems kinda intermittent.

Well, no matter what it is, first step is to pull the tranny and go from there.

Thank you all for the input.

so I opened my oil filter and found this :(

Now that I found the issue. I will be looking at my options for built long blocks.

If you have any suggestions on long blocks let me know!

Thank you!
