Just ordered by BMR Jacking rails from CJ Pony. Anyone do this install that has some useful tips or things to help avoid problems? Greatly appreciated in advance. It seems too easy from the write up, so there must be a catch.

What Model?. Straight forward, just 4 bolts on each side rail. Works great.

Besides having a few more points to jack from/put a stand on, what's the benefit of these?

No real catch, it's a very easy install. Only real thing to watch for is excessive seam sealer under the new rails. They need to sit flat and some people have had to scrape some of the seam sealer out of the way.

Easily lifts an entire side without having to hunt for a jack point.
Eliminates worries about damage to the pinch welds.

Make sure you have a torque wrench and a small bottle of Blue Loctite..

It should take you about 20 minutes to install both sides.

Mustangs have a unibody design. Not stout in anyway other than what it was designed for. You can jack the entire side if you like or just one wheel. You won't damage your own jacking beam when using these. Other than that, just ones wants or needs really. If you don't plan on jacking your car allot, probably wouldn't get them. Have fun

I just installed the Steeda jacking rails
on my 21. Took me about 20 minutes. No issues with the seam sealer.

My car had factory locktite on the unibody bolts and it was hard to thread them back in. So, I used a wire wheel to clean the bolt threads.

have you installed these yet? The only catch that I remember is that one side is shorter than the other, so you have to know which one goes where. I don't remember which is which, sorry lol!

By the way....I love the color of your car. I was torn between the orange and that green.

Thanks man! I didn't have much choice when I bought it back in October since there was limited Nationwide stock available and dealers didn't want to give up their inventory. But now that I have it, I LOVE IT! The 18PP1 I traded in was Orange Fury, so we have great taste in colors!
