Don’t need a tune for 2nd gear launch in drag mode. Just put shifter in S and tap up paddle. Don’t forget to select drag mode and disable traction control.
Then nudge shifter up to D after launch. All subsequent shifts will have the drag mode hit.
Cheers,
The 9117 worked for my Gen3. It does require you to cut the common coil power wire. I cut it on the supply connector. That way I can swap engines and ECUs without cutting again.
Just in case someone else has this same concern...
I confirmed the dampener and timing cover are the same as a 2018 GT350. So, I think it’s gonna be OK.
I am curious why Ford ditched the 2018-2019 viscous dampener. But, it really doesn’t matter. Time to send it.
Cheers,
Got a new Gen 3 Coyote engine for this season and the dampener doesn’t look like my 2018 Coyote. The new motor has a Mustang intake; but, the timing cover looks like an F150. The cover has number “003” on it. My 2018 timing cover has the number “026”.
Have any 2021 GT owners seen this...
”Because I want to.” is as good an answer as any. I was just wondering if I was missing something.
My favorite mods; so far, are Steeda 2-piece rotors and a set of Forgelines. The reduced unsprung weight changed the ride and handling in a good way.
Best of luck with the new ride.
Cheers,
I’m honestly curious. Why pay extra for a Mach 1; if you don’t want the TREMEC or the track cooling?
Personally I hope to follow Flyhalf’s lead and track my 2018 GT PP Auto Mag.
Thanks,
I had a similar issue that was resolved by fully charging my battery. This was a coyote swap project that left the battery disconnected for a month. So, it may not be an issue for a daily driven car.
Cheers,
This is the best “accelerometer” I have seen.

It will pair with a wireless OBDII dongle and a smart phone to provide real time data logging.
Cheers,
Thanks for the info.
I’m probably going Lund. I have only seen one AED tuned car. It was faster than when Lund tuned it; but, not as fast as The final Paramount Speed tune. I think Paramount might have been remote tuning through PBD. But, I don’t really know. That particular car went high...
I’m getting my car tuned and RPM is the closest dyno shop. But, RPM is booked until September. I'm willing to travel up to 200 miles outside of Sonoma county.
Thanks,
I wonder what MMR says about that electronic bypass valve?
It should possible to disable the 2018+ GT’s variable oil pressure system. But, I chose to leave it. I’m installing this relocation adapter on my dedicated track car:

But, I don’t know how...
