I use the magic eraser on the all white interior of my 95 convertible, followed up by leather conditioner, and it keeps the seats nice and white. Not an easy task in a convertible...

It may be fine on white seats, but if you are using it on black seats that might be a whole different story. Black shows everything! Whether it is on seats or the paint.
I'm going to say just to get it professionally removed, if it is a really small spot, you might get lucky and they might just do it for free real quick.
