Wow just ran a pen across my driver side red insert. Got most of the ink out but there's a like shadow still there. It will drive me insane. Are the leather inserts sold in the catalog? Can't believe I just did this FML!

A good upholsterer can get it out for you no problem.

I googled this, and there were about a half-dozen "remedies" that seemed to work for most. Magic Eraser was mentioned.

I won't list the others here because although the majority of ideas worked for most, many also mentioned slight damage to the leather as a result. Therefore, I would go with CooterK's advice and look into getting a professional to remove it.

Hmm will think about the eraser. Wonder how much for a professional to fix it. Maybe I should just start the trade in process for a 350.

Magic eraser did leave the leather exceptionally dry. I remoisturized it very well after.

Try it on an inconspicuous spot first. You should do that with anything new you do to it anyway.

I have never tried this myself and leather, but I know hair spry takes ink out of clothing in the washer. Spray it on wait 20 minutes and wash like normal. Might be worth thinking about, but don't know if it would damage the leather. On another vehicle I used some acetone to take the ink out of a grey work truck my Ex-wife had and it worked great. Didn't damage the seat either. But I don't guarantee the results as I just don't want to be held responsible if it screws it up

Hair spray didn't touch it in mine. I tried that first.

Acetone would cut it very quickly but I was leery about its effects on leather. Vinyl would be fine.

Whatever you do please DO NOT use a scouring pad, a lot of youtube videos tell you to do this. I am just telling you from first hand experience lol.

Aren't the magic erasers too aggressive for leather?
I use the magic eraser on the all white interior of my 95 convertible, followed up by leather conditioner, and it keeps the seats nice and white. Not an easy task in a convertible...
