So I just sent a request to Lund for a tune revision because of my thermostat and I included all of my mods, including the JMS PedalMax:

Part of his response was:

"Dump the JMS PedalMax it is junk and does nothing. We already modify the drive by wire calibration in the tune."

The pedalmax has probably been my favorite mod and has changed the driving my experience of my car, kinda shocked to hear this....it does a lot?

What do you guys think?
I received the same reply from Lund...told me not to buy it BUT I was told a Lund tune was going to stop the delay in 1st gear....but no no change with the delay at all. I've contacted Lund multiple times he changed the tune but still same outcome

I think using track mode provides sufficient throttle response for my needs. But if l didn't have this feature l could probably see giving it a try.

If the throttle sensitivity is modified by the tune, you don't need the Pedal Max. I believe the tune modifies the sensitivity of the ECU reading the signal, whereas the PedalMax boosts the strength/position of the signal being sent by the pedal.

From what I have read, I don't believe it is a good idea to piggy-back a throttle booster onto a tune. Ultimately, the throttle response is going to be limited on how mechanically fast the butterfly valve can be opened by the actuator driven by the ECU signal.

One of the things tunes/tuners (can) do is to boost the throttle response to make the car immediately feel more "urgent" and "tuned".

I have a Lund tune and pedal max with controller. I'll set it to 0 and see if I feel a difference.
Thanks, that's exactly what I'm going to do as well.

Let us know!
You WILL notice a difference. The pedal Max and Sprint Booster amplify the voltage sent to the PCM. The PCM then reads that voltage and tells the throttle blade how much to open based off of the throttle map.

So when the throttle map is changed its changed for input and output. So all your doing with the pedal Max and Booster is compounding that. So if Lund makes 5% input give you 10% out. With the pedal Max your multiplying that 5% signal so your output is going to increase bc the PCM is seeing a higher voltage. So know matter what someone does to the map it's going to change again with a Pedal Max on.

Nice to know they took care of it for you, and it's working as intended.

For those that installed theirs with the optional dial, can you either post pics or direct me to the pics in this thread of how and where you mounted it? I'm looking for ideas. Ideally, I'd like to have it easy to access, but I don't particularly want it to be visible. Thanks in advance for the help!
I mounted mine in the sunglass holder. Just put small piece of velcro behind it

I installed this yesterday and have to say I am very impressed. Was a little skeptical, but got a good deal from a fellow forum member so thought I would try it out. Overall, just feels like the car has woken up...takes much less effort to get the car going, even in normal mode. The throttle is still very easy to modulate at low speeds, which I was worried about. As others have mentioned as well, I have noticed my shifts are smoother as well. Terrific mod for the money, and a good option for those of us who don't have tunes. I have always thought the car doesn't feel like it has 435 HP...my 335 I had before this had 300 HP and felt much quicker...all of a sudden, this feels like a 435 HP car.

Has anyone come across a graph of the PedalMax throttle curve vs stock? I found one for the Sprint Booster and I would like to see how different they are.
