Yes this is my first fabrication. Watched a ton of videos and made plenty of mistakes…but that’s how ya learn lol

I appreciate the compliments! This build took awhile but I also have a full-time job and a toddler so it was a few hours a week for months. I now have a deeper appreciation for those who do fabs full time…this is some laborious work!

It takes serious time, skill and dedication to do what you did, and for it being the first, it just makes it that much more amazing to me because I know what it takes to build that system, both time wise and financially.

If you ever quit your day job you have some mad skills you can put to work.

I really used to love doing installs. I spent many nights out in the garage and got to meet some great people and now good friends from doing it. Unfortunately I have RA so I am unable to do it anymore. So for now I am just enjoying it through your eyes! So thanks for sharing all your hard work with us all. I know this isn’t everyone’s thing, especially in the people on the elderly side, as I consider myself to be, but I really enjoy car audio.

Only thing left to do is install the laser-etched acrylic piece that I’m still waiting on. It’ll be a nice finishing touch.

Almost exactly what I’m going to do other than the subs cause I already own 2 JL W7 8’s and HD1200 I’m going to repurpose.

On the other amp I’m flip flopping from the JL vxi’s or the Helix P Six Ultimate dsp amp

You’re 8’s might need a little more than a Vx1000i could provide at 3 ohms unless you plan to run two of them.

I have an JL HD1200 on them now, I was thinking of using the vxi’s for the 8 other speakers in an active config or do the Helix which I’ve heard really good things about.

Ah gotcha. VXi is a wonderful amp and the Tun software is user friendly

The Helix stuff sounds pretty good in my opinion, but if you already have the JL amps I personally think you would be crazy to go a different route. JL is the $hit! If you want to upgrade or add amps are you thinking of getting Helix just so it all matches up?, or because you think it’s better than the JL? (By the way, not trying to give you a hard time at all, I am just curious as to your reasons) I’ve been in car audio for 34 years now and by no means an expert but absolutely “dialed in” and have had many, many systems including one that won 1st & 2nd place at the Daytona Spring Break International which is a major task.

Because I haven’t purchased the VXi amps yet. I own the sub amp HD1200/1 which is the sub amp for the 8’s. I’m thinking over going either VXi or Helix for the mids and highs.

Brian: Words cannot convey just how "OVER THE TOP" your work represents. I think I would rather not know the expense of all that gear but most importantly, I would pay a pile of pesos to HEAR IT!

I'm not lazy, stupid, or poor BUT, in a million years I couldn't duplicate the quality of your setup.

Can you STILL hear the engine motor thingy when you're cranking tunage? :-)

Lol the Kooks headers and Shelby by Borla exhaust can always be heard.
