Alright I’ve been working on this for some time. I don’t have a lot of free time so its taken me a few months to get this all together. Let me know if there are any questions. Everything was done by me.
2017 GT PP Base model
Stock Head Unit
Active three way front stage:
JL Audio C5 6.5 inch woofer in doors
JL Audio C7 350cm 3.5 inch mid in doors (I swapped to premium interior door panels)
JL Audio C5 tweeters in pillars
Rear deck speakers deleted
AudioControl LC-6.1200 powers the front stage.
AudioControl D-1.800 monoblock powers 2 10 inch JL W3v3 in a Zenclosures box.
AudioControl DM-608 DSP feeds the audio signal to amps.
Whole car is rewired with 16awg speaker wire. PowerMaster 240amp alternator and big 4 upgrade under the hood. Probably overkill...but I didn’t want to take any chances.
0 gauge power and ground wires. Power wire feeds to a distribution block and another smaller fuse block which has a split bank for constant power and also switched.
The amp rack and subwoofers are all on quick disconnect wiring so I can pull it all out in about 15 minutes to shed considerable weight for track days.
All wiring is done right! OFC wire. Soldered any connections possible. Wire ferrules used throughout.
The project came out great and it sounds absolutely fucking insane! Primary goal was sound quality (but its crazy loud when it wants to be) which was achieved. I am still fine tuning the DSP so its a bit of an ongoing listen and tune. The last photo is a screenshot from my phone of the wireless dsp tuning software.
