I bought four TPMS from Tirerack, which lists the part number as: FR3Z-1A189-A

I just received the package. All 4 came in a generic white envelope and they looked like in the picture. I do not see that part number anywhere. Does that part number just refer to the complete assembly with the metal valve stem? Thanks!

Want to make sure they are correct before I have them mounted.

So as best as I can figure out, the FR3Z-1A189-A part number is for the entire sensor + metal valve stem assembly. The part number on the actual sensor in my picture is the part number for the sensor piece by itself. Different valve stems can be fitted to the same sensor.

If its the one in your hand, that is the correct TPMS

Yeah it was the cheapest I could find from a legit source. Hopefully they ARE legit, but I don't think Tirerack would be running some kind of scam.....hopefully lol

If they are oem, you will be fine.

Your tpms system will remember two sets of wheels. No additional programming or learning is necessary

Old post, but thought I'd share that I just ordered a set of these from TireRack and they're still the same price - 32 bucks each.

I ordered a couple of them and got them today. They are Schrader branded valves. It appears that Schrader is the OEM supplier to Ford because the TPMS sensors and stems are exactly the same right down to the lettering (minus the FoMoCo) emblem. I will be trying them out because I have a TPMS/stem leaking on one of my wheels.

Here are some side by side photos of Schrader vs OEM.

That's interesting. Back when I bought them from Tirerack they were the FoMoCo branded ones. But if they work they work. As you say same part just different stamp probably.

So before I found the actual part number we have I called my local Ford parts dept and they gave me the part number for TPMS35 based on their VIN search. This is a black metal valve single piece construction, not the silver one that comes on the car. I’m curious if it was a GT350 part number that got carried over?
