Hello from Georgia! I was just reading your post and decided to comment. I picked up my new 2020 GT350R last week and didn't realize the chassis number until I got home.... :-)

Congratulations on having the very first 2020 R model built at the FRAP.

It doesn't get any better than that in my opinion.

Congrats again!!

Wow, you've got the first of the last. Nice! Congrats. Usually you have to be somebody to get 001 of any model year.

Great catch with the only MY to exceed this R model production number will be the 2017 MY when Ford produced 942 R models.

Of course in 2015 there were only 37 R models produced and 526 R models produced in 2016 and 633 R models produced in 2018.

Looks as though the 2019 MY will be the second largest volume of R models produced over the last 5 model years but suggest that the 2020 MY R model production numbers will be very low compared to most previous years.

Thanks for posting!

:)

Just a gut feeling but suggest that the 2020 R production numbers just may be the lowest production numbers for the last 6 MY's aside from the 37 R's built for the 50th Anniversary launch in 2015.

From 2016 thru the 2019 MY the lowest production numbers for the R came during the 2016 MY with 526 R's assembled and with the 2017 MY being the highest in production numbers for the R with 942 cars built.

I will be very surprised if the 2020 R model production numbers exceed the 526 cars built in 2016 especially with all of the present production issues at the FRAP, terrific demand for the launch of the GT500 coming down the same assembly line along with the $5000 price increase for the 2020 R but I have been wrong many times before.

I reached out to the Ford Perf Group right after I picked up mine in September and they said they are still totaling the 2018 and 2019 GT350 build numbers. He said they were really behind in getting this out to the public.I hope KR799 is the last. Mine had just arrived at the dealer on Labor Day weekend and my Chassis is KR785.

Not sure who you were talking to at FP but the 2018 GT350/R production numbers have been out for a very long time.

Based on past history the 2019 production numbers should be out in early 2020.

I am still in awe of your chassis number and of course being number chassis number "1" for possibly the last production year is outstanding!

Any chance of you posting a picture of your WS or at least providing your VIN for "LR001" as that would be interesting to see?

Really, WOW, his name might have been Scott, but I'm not 100% sure but he specifically said they were really behind and did not have 2018 production numbers. So do you know where the production number for 2018 break down is? The 1st page of the thread says there's either 637 or 633 2018 R's. I'd like to see the color/options breakdown.

There were 633 R's produced for the 2018 MY and just too much information in order to provide you with all of the color and options breakdown.

Send me a PM with your contact information after which time I will try to help you out.
