Then I use a “stripper/cleaner” like CarPro Eraser or Gyeon Prep to take any waxes or sealants off the paint.

Eraser etc are not guaranteed to remove sealants or waxes.. Their intended purpose is the removal of polishing oils.

If one wants to strip the surface, a high pH cleaner is the best bet, but caution should be used as it's possible to dull the paint with the wrong procedure, necessitating a polish job.
