Hey everyone, Rick here from the Chicago burbs. Glad to be around a bunch of Mustang fans. I've owned quite a few including my little red barchetta, a 2011 GT/CS convertible in red candy metallic, certified 1 of 1 build through the GT/CS registry. I love the new design and can't wait to get back into a Mustang. I will be ordering one as soon as I can. Thanks for welcoming me.

lurking here for a while so let me finally post up a hello...

I currently own a Base '13 GT, manual, Track Pack and Recaro's. Added a Borla S-Type axleback and Ford Racing suspension kit.

So far I am liking what I see with the '15. I'm very interested to see what the SVT models will bring to the table. I'm not sure if I'll trade when they come out or not... it might be impossible for me to resist. :p

Great Site Here! The months leading to the reveal with all the updated renders and spy shots were awesome!

here is my Stang.

Welcome guys.

Cool to see a lot of recent buyers still interested in the 2015 instead of hating on it. I commend you for not being a hater. :clap2:

Hello everyone. My name is Josh. I'm a long time lurker first time poster. You seem to have a good group here.

A few things I've been thinking about in reading quite a few of your posts here:

On Ford's YouTube channel, there was a video talking about how the Mustang II (widely considered the ugliest Mustang to come down the pike) was the unsung hero that kept the Mustang alive during the gas crisis and through the 80's.

Then in the 90's, Mustang sales dipped again and Ford considered putting the Mustang on the chopping block to be replaced by, of all vehicles, the Ford Probe!

I've seen quite a lot of griping about the new style, comparing it to the Mustang II, the Camaro, and too widely generic with no character at all.

Honestly, I think it's a good looking Mustang, and I'm sure with the upcoming special versions, e.g. GT350 or Mach I, I'm sure it will grow on me even more.

Recently one of you made an excellent point. I'm going to be turning 40 soon, I was in the first video game generation, and yes I like some driving games and other action games, but they are a seldom indulgence for me. I am much happier behind the actual wheel, and loved the S197 when it debuted in '05. That said, however, the retro look had it's run and was getting stale anyway. A fresh look was needed to move Mustang forward and keep it relevant.

I think Ford has done an excellent job with the S550. I do however wish they had made the GT immediately distinguishable from the base model. Maybe this will happen when full production is under way later in 2014.

I have high hopes for our beloved "Secretarie's Car", and I would love for the Mustang to live on to 75, or dare I ask for 100 years without a break in production? While that's not likely, if it ever did happen, I'm sure that would be an unbreakable record.

That said, whatever Ford has to do to keep the Mustang in their stables, I'm all for it. I just hope they'll always be able to keep design cues that will always reach back to the 60's, and a throaty V8 and FULLY manual transmission as options.

Just stumbled across this site in the past few days so I thought I'd register after poking around a bit. Anyway, 23 years old in MD. I currently own a 2008 V6 mustang in Grabber Orange. Got it used with only 1100
miles on it in 2010. I wouldn't say I grew up in a "mustang" family or that any of my relatives ever owned a mustang, but once I saw one when I was like 5 I always wanted one.
Definitely looking forward to placing my order once the 2015 goes into production. I'm thinking I'll most likely pick one up in late spring/ early summer if possible. Not sure if I want to wait around for 2016 to see if they toss in Direct Injection or not.

A few pics below. Not sure why the previous owner plastered boss all over it, but I do enjoy the color scheme/stripes. I have yet to see another like it. Also it's not shown but the back window is heavily tinted, seriously I'm surprised I've never been pulled over for the level of tint that the guy before me put on it. Previous owner already had an aftermarket exhaust, CAI, and hurst shifter installed.

Grabber Orange is one of my favorite Mustang colors. I did like the recent "School Bus Yellow" a bit better though. :coolphotos:

Hello Long time lurker My name is Jason and I live on Long Island NY. I figured I would join since I do come to this forum and read so much info on the 2015 Mustangs. Which I plan on getting one next year.

I have had 3 mustangs over the years. All of them were Fox bodies. I had 2 1987's my first was a 4cly to V8 conversion Notchback (done by someone else), My second 87 was another 4cly to V8 conversion which I did after wrecking the Notchback. I picked this car up for a few hundred bucks and swap parts from one car to another. My 3rd Fox is my 1991 Which I picked up in 2005 and this is my Race car. It use to be a x-project car for MM&FF Magazine. I will post up pictures in the other thread post your ride.

I also own a 2000 SVT Lightning. Which I have had 10 years now. And my Daily driver is a 2010 Fusion Sport.

EDIT: Sorry Ford, I'm going to pass. I was driving today and was convinced that I was being followed by a 2015 Mustang mule. I let the car pass and was very disappointed to see that it was a lowered Fusion. I don't particularly like the brand styling going on with Ford and this was the event that snapped me out of the illusion that the Mustang looked different... it doesn't. The cockpit is also still too small. Oh well, maybe next time.
