Hi all! New here but not new to mustangs. This is my 6th mustang I've owned and 3rd GT. 86, 98, 02, 05GT, 10GT and now this one.

'15 GT premium with performance package. This color is really hard to get, only two dealers in my area had them with the performance pack. Always loved blue color. Anyway, hi from TX!

Hey everyone! My name is Mike from Raleigh, NC. White 2015 GT Premium, 400A, 3.55 gears, 20 inch factory wheels, 6 speed, red interior, and upgraded security package. I have been contemplating this purchase for a while. This is my 5th Mustang....1967, 91 GT, 95 Cobra, and a 2000 GT. This is my favorite one yet!!

Welcome to the family Mike! (I mean welcome back!) She's absolutely gorgeous. The red is just jaw dropping! Don't hesitate to let me know if you're to have any questions on mods because I'm sure she's not staying stock for long!

Hey

I've been lurking on this forum for about a week now. Figured it was time to introduce myself officially. My name is Stan and I live in Baltimore, MD. As of February, I am the proud owner of a 2015 Triple-Yellow Mustang GT Premium. It's got a few additional options on it, most notably the 20" wheel upgrade and the 3.55 gears. I've attached a picture, which will hopefully come though. Somehow I always have problems with uploading pics.

Anyway, I've always wanted a muscle car and Ford finally came through with a muscle car I felt I could live with every day. It's powerful, beautiful and surprisingly refined. Coming from mostly Japanese, small displacement turbo cars, this is quite a change but I love it! I traded in a 2011 Subaru WRX STI for her (in the middle of winter, I might add!). Before that, I had a 2004 Mazdaspeed MX-5 (factory turbo Miata). That car was a blast and I definitely miss having it, however, the Mustang helps me forget!

Anyway, just wanted to say hi on here.

Thanks! As far as mods, yes, they'll be coming. I'm trying to take my time with it and not rush into it. I can't remember the last car I had that was unmodified in some way.

So far, my only "mods" are tint and I removed the clutch helper spring a few days ago. Oh, and I dropped in a K&N replacement filter but may be switching back to factory. There's always a debate on whether aftermarket filters help or hurt things.

Other than that, I would definitely like to do an exhaust in the near future. Nothing too loud and definitely not drony but just something that opens it up a little more.

I will have to really think about if I want to go the tuning route. I did on my Subaru and didn't have any issues. I'm just worried about doing it too soon with voiding the warranty. Eventually though, I would definitely consider a supercharger. Almost bought the Bama one the other day because it was on sale!

Could always go with a Ford Racing tune or a mod friendly dealer :)

Would a Ford Racing Tune, using their tuner, keep the warranty intact? I knew they had a tune out for the Ecoboost but wasn't sure about the GT.

Yes I believe so, I know the whipple kits they sold for the 11-14s kept the warranty intact as long as they used the tunes supplied with the kits.

Big gray area here fellas ' FRPP and Ford Motor Co are two entirely separate entities - I've seen some dealers install an FRPP Axle-Back and then void a warranty whereas another dealer that's hyper mod friendly - Think of an agency that has Roush/Saleen (For the time being) on their lot. Say they're to have the charger installed, use Fords canned tunes, they might offer some type of limited warranty but this differs from dealer to dealer as if something happens with the car and they're held accountable, they lose!

Last two dealerships I've worked at (One I'm at now and another) both installed blowers on cars, and both said the warranty would remain intact. This 'I put an exhaust on my car and now the dealer wont warranty my headlight' nonsense has gotten blown WAY out of proportion in the last year or so. Dealerships WANT to fix your car, that's how they make money and how they get paid.

Believe me - I'm familiar :ninja: They're not paying the electric with moving Ford Fiestas :lol::lol: - All I'm getting at is that while your dealer(s) are this friendly, most if not all are not. As per the Headlight/Exhaust comment that's why we have "Magnusson vs Moss" which I'm sure you're familiar with!

Yessir :lol: I gotcha. Just putting it out there that not all dealers are scared to do warranty work. Some technicians know what they're doing and know what a blower is and how it performs, and which system it affects, etc. haha  Hell my last dealership we warrantied the rear end (had it rebuilt) even though it had speed shop stickers all over it, longtubes, etc. We knew it didn't affect the rear end so there was no problem getting it fixed up.

That's it! I'm moving to Georgia! Reading you loud and clear! I'm from the sticks in central PA where a K&N drop in voided a customers warranty. Absolutely ridiculous right? I'm happy to hear there's still some shops/dealers out there that are able to swing this
