Hey everyone!

I recently bought a GT350 and noticed there were some scratches on the plastic trim inside the trunk (pics below). There are a couple in the interior door panel too. As usual, my OCD is making me go crazy over this. :(

Has anyone seen scratches like these on new cars coming from Ford? Maybe because the cars ship with the front splitter in the trunk?

Also - is there any way of getting rid of these scratches? Any input will be really, really appreciated.

Yes, mine arrived with scratched plastics, but I had them recorded before I left the dealer.

The (U.K.) dealer have 30 days to claim on ford - and that’s if Ford decide to pay as they may kick it back to the dealer.

I don’t want to post too many details yet as my claim is still going through - it’s looking hopeful though.

Good luck and please keep us updated :like:

My car had various scratches in the interior when I bought it. I asked them to replace all the affected panels and they did.

The trunk ones look like they might wipe off? Sometimes a box or something leaves a transfer of residue.

The door ones look worse. It's be nice if they replaced them...

Bummer.

Hi @Cobra Jet ! Thanks a lot for sharing the links. I’m trying not to do anything extreme and make them worse (I have faith in my own utter incompetence haha).
I’ll try a couple of these and circle back!

Aaah that’s really nice that they replaced the panels. Mine might have come this way from the factory too.
However mine was sitting in the dealer’s for a while so they might have caused this too. Tough to tell, I guess.

Hey @MikeyV , I tried wiping them off with interior detailing fluid and they aren’t coming off ☹
They both look bad. I saw this a couple of days after I bought the car and thought I could take care of it later but never got round to doing so. Now that I am paying more attention, i see that they’re not going away. It’s so stupid of me. I’m in California now and the dealer is in Iowa so it’s not possible for me to take it back to them.
I tried to inspect the car as thoroughly as I could but these just slipped through ☹

Probably too early to ask since your car was in the shop for a bit, but we're you ever able to get rid of the marks?
